This historical marker is an introduction to Philander Prescott. His name will come back up a few times in future historical markers, so after this you will know who they are talking about, because I don't know about you but I had never heard of this guy.
I mentioned in the episode a few podcasts I have been a guest on so I am going to post links to those episodes before the links to some of my research on Philander.

Get ready for a Local Lou podcast first, a murderous adventure through the prairie as we learn about the murder of Mary Egan. Can you keep a secret? We are about to meet someone who can... It sure is a long way to Tipperrary from South Dakota.
Starting off the links with Clive a grandson of the Egan's, just in case you haven't listened to the episode yet... That is all I will say about it.

Hi guys I'm Local Lou this the first episode of my podcast. I will read historical marker 78 in Canton South Dakota. Even better I went and visited the marker and the grave of Lewis P. Hyde's daughter in law who died in Canton in 1877. Dont worry we will lean a little about L.P in the episode, and I will share those pictures on my Instagram. Speaking if social media I am getting those going as well and hope to provide pictures of spots I am visiting and sources (libraries are currently closed so I am doomed to online sources for now) you dont have to be local to like Local Lou, I already like you and appreciate your feedback so help me make this podcast more enjoyable for all. Thank you.
