In this episode Nicolai takes us to one of Europe's least traveled countries: Moldova. Additionally, we visit the breakaway republic of Transnistria that is only recognized by other territories with a similar legal status. We start in Tiraspol, the capital of Transnistria, a city that still feels a part of the bygone Soviet era. Our next stop is Bender, a strategic fortress on the Dnister River. From there we head to Chisinau the capital of Moldova and the culinary/cultural hub of the region. We also discuss the largest wine cellar in the world and the third largest abandoned nuclear bunker in the former United Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Buckle up for a wild ride and a surprising yet thoughtful Lightning Round.
