Arthur Smith has made it abundantly clear that he's not changing quarterbacks. At least, not now. He's also made it clear that if it were as simple as changing one player to win games, he would do it. Smith is a good coach and he's well aware of the limitations of Marcus Mariota, but he's also aware of the limitations of Desmond Ridder and that's also part of the equation. Next, the Atlanta Hawks got a good win last night in Milwaukee and DeAndre Hunter was the leading scorer. This leads me to think that Hunter is a key part of taking the Hawks to the next level. Finally, the College Football Playoff Committee will put out their latest rankings tonight and all signs point to no major changes coming. Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks struggled on the road against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. A.J. Griffin has been a pleasant surprise providing some solid shooting off the bench for the Hawks. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about why Nate McMillan refuses to give Griffin more meaningful minutes. Also, they discussed Michael Harris and Spencer Strider both vying for the National League Rookie of the Year award. Secondly, when putting together this roster for the Atlanta Falcons, Terry Fontenot brought in veterans to help balance out the roster that he knew would feature a lot of young players. Marcus Mariota and Lorenzo Carter were part of the veteran movement. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about whether or not it’s time for Dean Pees and Arthur Smith to welcome a much-needed youth movement. Lastly, as we get close to the Holiday season, the crime rate tends to go up along with said season in Atlanta. A robbery took place in Sandy Springs where the robbers decided to bring back some of the items they stole initially. Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are just chugging right along after a win against the other Bulldogs at Mississippi State. Smart isn’t being talked about enough as they are defending their 2021 National Championship. Jon Chuckery talked about how the conversations should change about where Smart ranks all-time. Secondly, the Atlanta Falcons are set to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Justin Fields is finally starting to justify being drafted in the first round in 2021. Jon Chuckery talked about how it doesn’t matter who the Falcons play because Dean Pees’ defense has struggled to stop anyone. Lastly, the Atlanta Hawks will try to bounce back from their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks. De’Andre Hunter has been relatively healthy in 2022. Hunter has gotten off to a nice start after getting his extension done before the season. Chuckery talked about how Hunter should be shooting less three pointers at this point in the season.

The Atlanta Falcons will get set to take on the Chicago Bears this week and while it will be tempting for many fans and media members to try and re-write the history of the 2021 draft and how the Falcons should have taken Justin Fields, don't do that. If you want to make the argument that Atlanta shouldn't have taken Kyle Pitts, that's fine. But don't make it about taking Justin Fields because if you look at the players that were taken after Pitts, Fields isn't remotely close to the one they should have taken. Next, the Tennessee Volunteers and the LSU Tigers are the two most overrated teams in the country right now. They are hanging onto one game each - their win over Alabama. I don't think there's a case for either of them to belong in the College Football Playoff. Lastly, the Atlanta Braves will collect some hardware today as either Spencer Strider or Michael Harris will win the NL Rookie of the Year award. Also, Mark Zinno handed out a Shovel of Wisdom.

The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 104-95 last night at State Farm Arena. Trae Young and Clint Capela were able to work their pick and roll to get themselves going. Onyeka Okungwu was able to contribute off the bench with 11 rebounds and defending Joel Embiid. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about how Nate McMillan handled questions after the game, and they discussed Capela’s role with the Hawks in 2022. Also, they talked about Dansby Swanson being extended a qualifying offer from the Atlanta Braves. Secondly, the Atlanta Falcons fell flat on their face against the Carolina Panthers last night on Thursday Night Football. Marcus Mariota probably had his worst game ever as a Falcon. The offensive line could not find a way to block Derek Brown. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about Mariota's rookie mistakes, and they discussed the offensive line’s struggles. Lastly, the Falcons’ defense looked exactly like they looked the last time they played against the Carolina Panthers. Jarvis and Tenitra mentioned some names that probably need to play more up front. Also, they discussed Wakanda Forever coming out in For The Culture.

The Atlanta Falcons played a dreadful game last night against the Carolina Panthers. Everyone is calling for Marcus Mariota to be benched for Desmond Ridder. Jon Chuckery talked about how there is only one scenario that we will see Ridder under center. Secondly, Arthur Smith has another issue on his hands. Drew Dalman had another awful game last night trying to block Derek Brown. Dalman wasn’t alone because no one on the offensive line had a good game. Jon Chuckery talked about Dalman’s play and how the rest of the line regressed. Lastly, Dean Pees staunchly defended his defense coming into their matchup last night against the Panthers. The Falcons were awful against the run last night. Chuckery talked about the blueprint being out on this entire team.

The Atlanta Falcons’ loss last night wasn't because of one player. Despite how bad Marcus Mariota was, there were so many other things that were awful last night including the O-line, the run game, the defense and even the kicker! I know people want to see Desmond Ridder, but that's not going to happen as long as the Falcons have a shot at the playoffs. Ridder's ceiling is no higher than Mariota's but his floor is much lower. The Atlanta Hawks got a win over the depleted Philadelphia Sixers. Trae Young had another bad shooting night, despite leading the team in scoring. Finally, Alex Anthopoulos has to figure out how to deal with Dansby Swanson and Mark Zinno gives his college and NFL plays for the weekend and a Veterans Day message to all my fellow vets out there! Also, Zinno handed out a shovel of wisdom.

Nate McMillan made some solid halftime adjustments and the Hawks were able to go on a run in the third quarter, but the Jazz started hitting their three pointers in the fourth to get the win. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about their concerns about Young early in the NBA season. Also, they discussed what Alex Anthopoulos could have up his sleeve as MLB free agency gets started. Secondly, the Atlanta Falcons are all set for the NFC South showdown against the Carolina Panthers. Arthur Smith has to figure out a way to contain Derek Brown as they had some success in the run game the last time out. Marcus Mariota and Kyle Pitt’s connection is something that has to get going as well. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about Smith’s gameplan headed into this matchup and they discussed Pees’ defense getting back to the basics. Lastly, Domata Peko played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2006-2016. His father-in-law just recently made the news because he sold the 2.05-billion-dollar Powerball ticket. Jarvis and Tenitra talked about how cool it was for Peko’s father-in-law to be getting all of this national attention in For The Culture.

Alex Anthopoulos is tasked with making sure their spending is conducive to what Liberty Media wants. Chuckery talked about how it would be really hard for the Braves to avoid the luxury tax. Also, he discussed what the Braves can do with Marcell Ozuna.
