Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans new rookie class finally picked their numbers on Thursday and first-round pick Carnell Tate selected 14. It is certainly a silly conversation, but 14 just doesn't have the pop of 17. Chim Dike clearly was not willing to part with the number despite Tate's willingness to pay for it. However, all the other numbers fit perfectly fine for the rookie class. Regardless, numbers on the jersey don't mean numbers on the field and all of these rookies are more focused on the in-game results. Finding success as a rookie is different for each player as the expectations vary. Also, the Titans still need some depth at key places, but it may be a while before we see meaningful additions.

The Tennessee Titans kickoff rookie mini-camp on Friday as the new additions get their first action and two rookies in particular need to make a strong impression. Carnell Tate and Anthony Hill are those names. Tate is being asked to be a lead receiver in year one while Hill is being talked about as a guy who can wear the green dot in his first season. If that is going to be true for both, they need to hit the ground running. Similarly, on the offensive line, Pat Coogan needs to step up right away along with Fernando Carmona if Titans fans are to feel more comfortable with the state of the offensive line. Finally, Robert Saleh will likely speak at the event and there are some questions about these rookies that would be nice to get answers to.

The 2027 Mock Drafts are out as they always are this time of year and the Tennessee Titans, like all teams, will have big needs again next April. Right now, it seems like offensive tackle will be high on the list, if not the clear biggest need. That gets addressed in some of the mocks and sets up an interesting conversation about what needs to be prioritized. Whatever the needs, the Titans shouldn't be drafting as high as some of these exercises seem to have them. Changing the focus to the current rookies, with rookie camp starting this weekend, the Titans had to make room on the roster and cuts have begun to do exactly that.

The Tennessee Titans ceiling is much higher this season than last year after all of the offseason additions that were made. It may not be the most likely outcome, but the playoffs are absolutely a possibility, which is something you couldn't say a year ago. The floor for the team though, is closer to last year than the ceiling. While the Titans could strike gold, it's more likely they improve by a win or two than to make the postseason. After the draft, undrafted free agency begins and the Titans have added quite a few interesting prospects like Tyren Montgomery, Aamil Wagner and Bishop Fitzgerald. Breaking through will be tough for an UDFA, but maybe these guys have a shot. What we know is the Titans will have to make room for these new players and cuts to the roster will have to be made. Tyler goes through the list of guys to watch.

Tennessee Titans President of Football Operations Chad Brinker stepped down on Tuesday night. This has been turned into a big talking point and as is typical, is being used as a way to insult the organization. That response is ridiculous and following the events it is clear to see why this would always be the outcome. Also, continuing a theme of disrespect for the team, the Titans have made massive improvements over the last few months to strengthen their roster, but in a recent NFL Power Ranking, the Titans were listed last. While offseason rankings don't affect games, it is still a insane assertion and shows a level of disrespect to the amount of talent and change that has been added not only to the roster, but the coaching staff.

The Tennessee Titans brought in Keldric Faulk after a trade up back into the first round and you can clearly see why. Faulk has elite potential due to his size, length and movement skills. Faulk will be a part of a rotation early on, but Faulk may very well be the most dominate defensive lineman on the team in a few short years and potentially one of the best in the entire NFL. Anthony Hill also has elite potential with his speed, build and violence level. Pair that with Robert Saleh as a linebacker guru and you might have a first team all-pro at the position. Carnell Tate's role long-term is basically the same as the short-term, be the Titans #1 wide receiver, but there is a chance Tate can settle in as a #2. Nick Singleton could turn out to be a lead back and future superstar based on his skillset. If Brian Daboll and Luke Stocker can get his reads to match his explosiveness, Singleton could be the biggest steal of the class. Fernando Carmona and Pat Coogan's long-term role can be as simple as average starter on the offensive line. Jackie Marshall and Jared Kanak are locked into backup roles going forward, no matter the outcomes.

The Tennessee Titans took Keldric Faulk with a second first-rounder after trading back up for the Auburn defensive lineman. Anyone who watch Faulk closely in college saw his elite potential and the deadly combination of strength, size and agility. Zac Blackerby from Locked on Auburn joins the show to discuss Faulk's college career and the promise he has shown while also taking some time to discuss the elite person Faulk is and some of the tremendous things he does off the field as well that make him a pleasant add to the Titans locker room.

Mike Borgonzi’s second draft class is officially in the books, and while Carnell Tate is the new face of the offense at No. 4, the real conversation starts at No. 60. Is Anthony Hill Jr. the certified steal of the 2026 NFL Draft? We’re breaking down why the Texas linebacker is a game-changer for this defense, highlighting our favorite Titans picks, and handing out final Draft Grades for the entire Titans class.

The Tennessee Titans rookie class has a chance to make an immediate impact and no one is higher on that list than Carnell Tate. Not only is Tate going to be a starter, but he needs to be the Titans #1 wide receiver and alpha target on day one. Tate fills the X role perfectly in Brian Daboll's offense and should be able to take advantage of isolated opportunities. Keldric Faulk may take more time. Faulk should focus on a specific role in the defense and get proficient at it before being given a lot to do. The Titans have the depth on the defensive line to not have to rush Faulk into too much action. However, Anthony Hill may be able to make an impact from day one and that may have more to do with Cody Barton than Hill. Hill has to develop mentally at the position and play with better instincts, but his pure athleticism and violence advantage over Barton will make it hard to keep Hill off the field. Finally, the day three crop can make an impact, but no one has a chance to play an important role more than Fernando Carmona and Pat Coogan on the offensive line. Nick Singleton could also factor in immediately in the backfield and get 5-10 touches a game. Jackie Marshall and Jared Kanak will be less likely to make an impact though and will have to truly earn any chance they get.

The Tennessee Titans draft Carnell Tate in the first round of the NFL Draft and are hoping he can become an elite receiver in the league, but Tate already was an elite receiver at Ohio State so there is reason to believe he can do it again. Jay Stephens from Locked On Buckeyes joins the show to talk about Tate's career at OSU as a player and as a person. Tate is excellent on the field, but his dedication off the field will ultimately be why he will be great at the next level.LOCKED ON TITANS EVERYDAY CLUB: https://lockedontitans.supercast.com/
