Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans don't seem like a team that should be eyeing a running back early in the NFL Draft, but look ahead a bit and you will see the need is actually pretty obvious. Ashton Jeanty and other top names won't likely be options, but the Titans may go running back earlier than some fans may think and a recent visit confirms that. If so, the Titans need to consider a back with some power. Finally, the Titans also don't have a major need at tight end, but later in the draft a blocking tight end to round out the group would fit.

The Tennessee Titans have picked Cam Ward to be their franchise quarterback and that means they are passing on Shedeur Sanders, but that doesn't mean that Sanders is not a good player in his own right. Also, some may think that getting another quarterback later in the draft could offer good backup potential, but none of the names are worth the shot and it is not what Ward needs in the quarterback room.

The Tennessee Titans are locked in on selecting Cam Ward #1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft and he brings a lot of great things to the table, but there are also some areas to clean up as well. First, Ward's generational playmaking instincts shine throughout his tape, showing off poise, confidence and a laser arm that led to elite college production at multiple stops. However, Ward does need to clean up his decision making to account for a lack of elite physical abilities which will require playing more on-time football and faster processing. Finally, Ward fits well with Brian Callahan's offense due to his proficiency with quick timing throws and crossing routes down the field, but adding more RPOs and shotgun will be key to making Ward comfortable.

The Tennessee Titans cancelled their private workout with Sheduer Sanders and proved once again that Cam Ward will be the choice at #1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, even if some are reluctant to see it. Now that we know Cam Ward is the quarterback of the future, the draft starts at pick 35 for the Titans and they have a tough choice there. With many needs, the Titans could do a ton of different things. One of those routes see them sticking and picking, but would they do that for a guard? Also, the Titans could trade down, but not every trade down is good for the Titans.

The Tennessee Titans had a good defense last season that lacked in significant areas like pass rush productivity. Arden Key was the best pass rush on the team in 2025 and while he remains on the roster, he is alone on the edge as a rusher. That means Key will have to take a significant step forward if the Titans hope to improve in said significant area. L'Jarius Sneed is on track to be ready for training camp and he needs to bounce back in a major way for the Titans to return to competitive football. There is a battle brewing for the second linebacker role and three young players, Otis Reese, James Williams and Cedric Gray will be battling for it. Williams will be the one to emerge.

The Tennessee Titans are less than a month away from the NFL Draft, but there should not be any drama with their first pick as Cam Ward will be the selection and if you didn't believe it already then the Titans' owner Amy Adams Strunk flying the private jet down to visit Ward at his private workout should be all you need. Also, JC Latham is moving to right tackle and with that we should expect a big second-year leap from the top ten pick from 2024. Finally, Bryce Oliver will get an opportunity to be a surprise contributor for the Titans, especially with Treylon Burks expected to disappoint.

The Tennessee Titans are set to take Cam Ward at #1 overall and make him their franchise quarterback, but Titans fans need to have the correct expectations. Players like Dak Prescott, Baker Mayfield and Jordan Love should be examples of what a good outcome for Cam Ward would be. Also, two recent busts in Treylon Burks and Nicholas Petit-Frere were given votes of confidence this week and it makes zero sense. The truth is the Titans aren't going to crush these guys publicly whether they want them around or not. Finally, some league rules changed on Tuesday and some benefit the Titans with Cam Ward.

The Tennessee Titans are close to finalizing their draft process and that includes Shedeur Sanders' pro day, but two of the Titans' three big decision makers will not be attending the trip. This tells us all we need to know about where the Titans are at. That means Cam Ward is going to be the pick and while the Titans continue to stay mum, the other teams in the NFL are telling us what we need to know. Finally, Brian Callahan gave updates on numerous players like L'Jarius Sneed, Treylon Burks and Lloyd Cushenberry.

The Tennessee Titans are now putting the final touches on the #1 overall pick and Cam Ward took his last step towards being the franchise quarterback on Friday. That means he will be the first pick and the question becomes what do the Titans do from there. Build through the trenches...like they said they would. That means looking at the defensive line and offensive line. On Day of the draft, the Titans need to look at guys with a high floor to raise the talent level of the team.
