Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans

In this week's NFL Squad, the crew discusses whether or not tight end or running back possesses the best overall positional value in the 2025 NFL Draft and what position groups teams should avoid. Plus, Russell Wilson has landed with the New York Giants. Does this eliminate them from taking a quarterback in the draft?

The Tennessee Titans look locked in on Cam Ward at the #1 overall pick, but according to reports and rumors, the Titans are still open to a trade. However, it sounds like any trade would have to present a historic return and that's exactly how the Titans should play it. There was an announcement on Thursday that had Titans fans in an uproar. The team will be going to the light blue uniforms as their primary and will not be wearing the Houston Oilers throwbacks in 2025. It may seem disappointing, but Tyler believes this is step one in a good process. Finally, Abdul Carter will not be working out at his Pro Day and it should create concern about him as a prospect.

The Tennessee Titans seem to be embracing Cam Ward is their next franchise quarterback, but that means they are also saying goodbye to Abdul Carter as an option. That leaves them with a difficult path to solidifying the edges on defense and they will like still need to use a high pick at the position. L'Jarius Sneed will need to bounce back in a major way for the Titans as the release of Chido Awuzie hurt the Titans depth at the position. At linebacker, the Titans basically have the numbers they need and really only need one more addition with a low-value asset.

The Tennessee Titans watched Cam Ward complete his pro day as well as they could have hoped for and as Ward said himself, he solidified his spot as not only QB1 in the NFL Draft, but for the Titans as well. At this point, it is Cam Ward or Bust for the Titans. Surrounding him with help will be the next goal and that starts with the skill positions and offensive line. The Titans still need improvements on the offensive side of the ball, but should they come from the draft, free agency or both? Tyler dives into each group and talks about the path to improvement.

The Tennessee Titans showed out in mass for their future quarterback of the future on Monday when Cam Ward dazzled at his Pro Day at the University of Miami. With Mike Borgonzi, Chad Brinker and Brian Callahan in attendance, Ward confirmed once again why he will be the first overall pick. Something all Titans fans need to get on board with now. The Titans added some free agents over the weekend, starting with outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter. Carter provides needed depth, but certainly doesn't solve any issues. Nick Folk will not return for the Titans as kicker Joey Slye was signed. Slye is a change stylistically for the Titans at the kicker spot and certainly a risk.

TENNESSEE TITANS 7 ROUND MOCK DRAFT!! The Tennessee Titans have Cam Ward's Pro Day on Monday and it will be more about cultivating the relationship than it will be about confirming Cam Ward is the guy, they already know that. In round two, the Titans need to trade back and then double up on wide receiver in the mid-rounds. Finally, adding players on Day 3 from big programs is a smart way to add experienced depth in the draft.

The Tennessee Titans are two weeks through the free agency period and some winners and losers have revealed themselves throughout the process. First, Will Levis is the biggest loser as it seems the Titans will be moving on from the young passer as their quarterback of the future. Treylon Burks emerges as a big winner considering the Titans lack of options to add talent at the receiver position. The Titans still have a ton of remaining questions as we enter Week 3 of free agency as well!

The Tennessee Titans must trade Will Levis if they intend to draft Cam Ward with the first pick in the NFL Draft. Creating a divisive dynamic in the locker room would be the worst way to bring in a rookie leader. The Titans have needs on the roster and the options in free agency are starting to dwindle. That could lead them to considering a trade. While the Titans don't need to pay a premium for non-premium players, finding trades with proper value could be a wise way to attack wide receiver and edge rusher prior to the draft in April.

The Tennessee Titans have had a conservative approach to the 2025 offseason, but at some point they need to add some help at receiver to support the likely quarterback, Cam Ward. While there are some mid-level options at the position, giving out a one-year deal to a veteran like Amari Cooper makes a ton of sense. On defense, the Titans need another edge and with Chidobe Awuzie released, likely need another cornerback. With limited options at either spot, the Titans will again be looking for a value deal. Finally, there are some spots, tight end and running back, that may not seem like big needs, but may need a specific veteran before the draft.
