The Tennessee Titans cutdown the roster on Sunday and parting ways with Will Levis was the most eye-catching move, but keeping Xavier Restrepo around will be the move true fans are most interested in. Either way, both have Cam Ward in mind as both moves help his development in different ways. Levis gets someone out of the room who has their own ambitions as the true motivator and Restrepo makes sure Ward has a key target in the scheme. Mason Kinsey was one of the Titans who was let go and he will forever be one of the great practice squad players in Titans history, but there were other decisions that were interesting on the offensive line and in the secondary for the Titans.

The Tennessee Titans have their preseason finale this weekend against the Chicago Bears and it is the final chance for roster spots to be won. Which means it is also Xavier Restrepo's last chance to shine as the young receiver battles for a roster spot. Restrepo may not provide much on special teams, but his value as a receiver is far too great to let go. On defense, the battle in the trenches is most hotly contested. Rookie draft pick Jackie Marshall could be let go just months after being selected. We will also likely see some new faces in the secondary when things are complete.

Cam Ward and Carnell Tate have been quiet as of late, but their connection got hot when the Tennessee Titans took on the Chicago Bears in a scrimmage on Thursday. Overall, the entire team showed well against last year's NFC North champion and that is a positive sign that they can hopefully double down on Saturday night. Robert Saleh plans to put the starters out there again for the third preseason game, but he needs to be careful not to push too hard as the Titans starters have got in a lot of work over the past few weeks.

Carnell Tate has been quiet for the Tennessee Titans as of late and this week against the Chicago Bears is a perfect time for Tate to reintroduce himself. The Bears secondary has been banged up and wasn't incredible on paper when healthy. This gives Tate a chance to get some space and make some plays. On the other side of that equation, the Titans secondary will have a bit of a test with Caleb Williams and the weapons from the Windy City. This will be a major worry to keep an eye on.

The Tennessee Titans take on the Chicago Bears this week in their final real test before the regular season and that means it is Cam Ward's last chance to face real pressure before the season. Ward must get dialed in and feel comfortable to be able to get off on the right foot Week 1 in a must-win game. Ward has a chance to do this against Chicago because their defense doesn't represent the biggest challenge, but the Titans defensive line will see that bigger threat as the Bears offensive line is solid, injuries or not. It'll be best on best for these units and the Titans need to win.

The Tennessee Titans rookie class is expected to make a big impact this year and the first pick of the group, Carnell Tate, has been quiet as of late. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll has expressed confidence in Tate, but they need to see results on the field soon to have confidence he can fill the alpha role. However, linebacker Anthony Hill has looked tremendous and should get a chance to start sooner than later, but based on comments from defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, Hill may need more experience calling the defense before he gets the chances we hope to see.

The Tennessee Titans dropped their rivalry uniforms on Tuesday and they are magnificent. Combining the Titans navy blue with electric dashes of Titans blue and white and silver. From the font, to the numbering to the stylized guitar strings. It is a perfect fit within the team's existing closet. The Titans did have practice on Tuesday and it was an up and down day for Cam Ward. Ward had multiple interceptions, but also some touchdowns as his up-and-down preseason continues. However, credit to the secondary, they bounced back after a tough showing against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Tennessee Titans will have roster cut down day at the end of the week and some of the biggest roster battles will be coming to an end. That means one more week for guys to show their stuff. On Offense, Xavier Restrepo is looking to make this team, but it will be an uphill battle considering his recent special teams performance. On defense, all depth spots are still up for grabs with the lack of talent on that side of the ball and it makes for interesting conversations that could lead to the Titans looking for help on other rosters.

The Tennessee Titans best players have looked awful in two preseason games and all you see online is excuses about the lack of game plans and the "vanilla" schemes, but those are not valid reasons for their performances as the other teams are doing the exact same things. Scheme and game plan are not the reasons the Titans are struggling and that doesn't guarantee the Titans are bad this year, but it's a bad excuse that lets the team off the hook. If you want to remain optimistic, that is fine, but we must tell the truth. Also coming out of the game we have some injury updates with players like Keldric Faulk, John Franklin-Myers and Nick Singleton all getting updated status reports.

The Tennessee Titans starters once again looked awful in their preseason matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Struggles on defense and offense should have us concerned as Cam Ward hasn't found a groove and the pass rush isn't impactful. Jeffery Simmons, Carnell Tate and essentially everyone else was quiet. The Titans went out with a whimper early in the second quarter and this type of performance has to give you concern about what kind of team this will be in September.
