Af: Die wind huil buite die hut, en die sneeuvlokkies waai heen en weer.
En: The wind howls outside the hut, and the snowflakes swirl back and forth.

Af: Jaco staan buite die knus hut, koue windjie in sy gesig.
En: Jaco stands outside the cozy hut, a cold breeze on his face.

Af: Hy kyk na die deur wat net 'n oomblik gelede met 'n klik gegrendel het.
En: He looks at the door that just clicked shut moments ago.

Af: Sy hart sak.
En: His heart sinks.
