The Leadership Society of Arizona ascribes to the belief that a person controls their entire life, and no person can come into their life and change, influence or control them. With all of my years of business school, this idea seemed contrary to everything I had learned. This podcast we dive into understanding if and how you can have a positive impact on others if no influence is an accurate concept. Dr. Jacob gives his tips on how to promote the most positive impact while knowing that people control their own lives.

A lot of people get weighed down with guilt for things they did in the past, for different mistakes that they've made. Thinking through the idea of mistakes logically, Dr. Jacob talks about how he's been able to help students that feel overwhelmed with regret, and maybe can help you to overcome some of your past as well.

Dr. Jacob gives his 4 tips on how to know that you are good at something, and how to determine if it could be a wise career path for you. Many people are stressed and fearful right now because of the increasing riots due to discrimination, government restrictions due to the pandemic, sickness, climate change, job loss, global political unrest, and uncertainty about what their lives are going to look like in the future. Dr. Jacob answers how professionals and students can emerge successful amidst uncertain times (the answer starts with a person's belief of who is in control of their life).

The Leadership Society of Arizona (LSA) began with two Arizona State University professors who realized that concepts which made a person successful and more efficient in the industry weren't being taught in the educational system. Learn about how a course that began with two students turned into the most popular and revolutionary elective course at ASU and Barrett, The Honors College, and afterwards morphed into the nonprofit, Leadership Society of Arizona. In this episode, Dr. Jacob Kashiwagi, chairman of the Leadership Society of Arizona, will explain the concepts of simplicity,  dominance, and relevance.
