However, in this episode of the Logic and Life Coaching podcast, Dr. Jacob Kashiwagi explains the reasons why relaxation techniques don't work and the reason why you're always stressed. Relaxation is a long-term process and requires physical and mental preparation. If you're starting to feel stressed, it's a lot more difficult to relax than if you had prepped before the situation.

How Do You Understand Other People's Feelings? Empathy can be a challenge for those who aren't naturally good at it. Some people are born that way and others need to learn the hard way. In this episode of the logic and life coaching podcast, Dr. Jacob Kashiwagi explains how to be more empathetic if you aren't naturally skilled at it, and how to say nothing. However, don't expect too much of yourself - those who aren't skilled at empathy should try to avoid situations where a lot of empathy is required.

What should you look for when interviewing? How should you test job applicants? In this episode of the Logic and Life Coaching Podcast, Dr. Jacob Kashiwagi explains that the qualities to look for in candidates are if they're good at the job, if they like their responsibilities, and don't need a lot of instruction to do the role. The best way to test their aptitude is to see them do the job. The person you don't want to hire is someone you're going to have to put a lot of effort into for them to understand how to do the work.

When should you talk more and when should you talk less? In this episode of the Logic and Life Coaching podcast, Dr. Jacob Kashiwagi explains that less is always more in communication and why the best leaders talk less. Dr. Jacob discusses scenarios of asking questions, being a student, getting hired for a new job, and writing. The answer is always the same - if you can, communicate less.

Have you ever thought your friend or significant other was going to do something and then when they didn’t you became upset with them? Or vice versa? In this episode of the Logic and Life Coaching podcast, Dr. Jacob Kashiwagi teaches to assume that you don’t know what they are thinking. In his relationship with his wife, Dr. Jacob learned that when he sets an expectation that his wife will understand what to do in certain situations, it leads to a lot of pain. When he realized that he should never assume that he understands what his wife is thinking, it has led to much more peace and happiness. Coupled with this idea of not setting expectations is the idea of not thinking. Dr. Jacob asserts that thinking and decision making at work and in relationships causes a lot of unnecessary problems. By not assuming you know, you will become happier and less stressed in relationships.
