SF Mayor London Breed has gone all in on funding the cops, asking for many millions for more police overtime, for significant raises, benefits and bonuses, and is now under fire for minimizing the funds that she’s asking for from the SF Board of Supervisors for policing – a situation where she vocally requested $82 million, but her if approved that paperwork would give $166 million over three years. We speak with Tim Redmond, founder of San Francisco-focused independent news site 48hills. Tim Redmond has been a political and investigative reporter in San Francisco for more than 30 years. He spent much of that time as executive editor of the Bay Guardian.
