After watching a video on a YouTuber explaining online why he was absent for two years, I had to sit and think on it. Why are we having so many young people having breakdowns and burnout on social media? Why are so many people trying to become Influencers, and why are there no support systems in place for vulnerable people?

Somebody has to talk about it. The #Booktok has been a blessing and a curse to authors everywhere. Let's talk about it.

Tiktok has become the most popular social media site today. Many writers use it to promote their businesses and many book reviewers use it to spread the word of good books. however, what happens when that same system is used to steal books from authors?

Black publishing has gotten better, but we can't lose our vigilance.

With COVID keeping us all inside, we have to ask if writing conferences are relevant anymore.

These last few months have been hard...it's hard to make episodes. But, I made it.

The most important thing a writer has to learn is to able to take criticism and take responsibility for what they say. In the last few weeks, there have been highs and lows in the creative community. The question is..how are we supposed to take criticism?

Fanfiction is a touchy subject for all writers. There are stories about writers, such as Anne Rice, who once threatened a fanfiction site to take her category down or she would sue. But today, we are talking about a hilariously ironic fanfic that managed to break the algorithm.
