About 2 weeks ago, my friend Kaylyn sent me a Snapchat saying "Currently hiding in my roommate's bedroom because there's a strange man inside our apartment!" Today, I invite Kaylyn to my bedroom studio to recount this story and break it down for us. We swap interesting strategies to scare away male predators, list what guys can do to help women feel safer (hint: it's NOT speeding up while walking behind her), and laugh because our only other choice is to cry.
