This week the boys rant of their disappointment of MLB's Lockout. They discuss the negotiation points and where the two sides go from here. After, they rave about the early Hall of Famer nods from the Early Baseball and Golden Era Committees. Good Lord, the Mets manager hiring process is a game show! How the hell did Brad Ausmus get an interview ?? The boys jump right into two big topics that are happening this week: the MLB Lockout & Free Agency. They discuss the points the league and players union are negotiating over as well as the worthiness of the whole thing. After, they discuss the insane free agency signings. This leads into the boys debating whether Javier Baez is a good fit for the Detroit Tigers and what he will bring to the table and if they are done signing big names or not. Even though it's been a hell of a ride, there are still more big names out there and the boys predict where they see them going. The boys kick off Thanksgiving with a little rant about Ohtani's unanimous decision for MVP. After, they discuss the pros and cons of Carlos Correa's potential signing to Detroit. Speaking of pay days, they speak on Wander Franco's recent extension and round out the headline talk with some predictions on 2022's Hall of Fame Inductions. The boys then put their GM hats on once again and each do a lightning round of what one important move EVERY team in the MLB should make this offseason. What went wrong for the Astros? The boys get to the bottom of it. Right before they began the episode, the surprising news broke about Buster Posey's retirement announcement. The boys talk about the legend that is Mr. Posey and how he affected the game and rejuvenated the catcher position for years to come, and they also debate if he's a Hall of Famer or not. This week the boys preview the 2021 World Series between the Houston Astros and the Atlanta Braves. They discuss what both teams will need to do to win. Looking back at the NLCS, Steve calls out Max Scherzer's noodle arm and his letting the Dodgers down, which leads to a deep discussion about the future of pitching in the MLB and how this generation of pitchers are going to be very different from decades past.
