  • S01 E69 - #32 The Bourne Identity

This week, we start off with a game of 4 degrees of Danny Dyer (which strangely gets Barbara Windsor deepfaked into the film). We try to work out if there are good guys left or just bad guys on both sides. There is a spoiler about the Metroid (sorry if you didnt evacuate). We have a huge name drop, we cover Carla's childhood, and her movie amnesia. Hanks makes it into the Pod again 🙄 and a farewell note to Gene Hackman. Join us on a scale of Action Packed to Lacklustre for #32 The Bourne Identity.

  • S01 E68 - #33 Bugsy Malone

This week, just like the movie we’re watching, the kids take over the pod to great effect. We talk about many different films, including coming up with an entirely new one. We discuss why no one knew about this film apart from Andy at his school and military use of splurge guns as we watch number 33 on the list, Bugsy Malone.

This week we kick off immediately with Andy taking on Bruce Willis (but is it mid-career Willis, peak Willis, or Willis in general 🤷‍♀️). Zoe joins us at the shop, and surprises herself that this is one of her favourite films. We get a brief introduction into 1997 Andy, we cover a couple of maths lessons with Zoe, We debate how much of a film needs to be good, for it to be a good film? (also known as the Fifth Element Rule). Zoe's sharing some dating habits, and there is some "spaceship stuff" in there. What a rollercoaster #35 is, welcome to The Fifth Element 💥🚀

  • S01 E65 - #36 Children of Men

The pod begins with that age old question, whatever happened to Clive Owen? We wonder just how much of a horror gets onto the list and Natalie impresses us with a sophisticated one word reaction! Kev thinks the premise of the movie sounds like one long happy hour and we leave it late for the plot twist as we watch #36 on the list Children of Men

  • S01 E64 - #37 Ikiru

We discuss what we’d do if someone said they had 1 day to live and wanted you to spend their money, what types of arguments we want out our funerals, how good Pod TopTrumps would be, and Kev shocks everyone with how he watches the film! All this and more for number 37 on the list, Ikiru

  • S01 E63 - #38 The Two Towers

We return to the shop to watch the fellowship of the ring part 2, also known as the Two Towers with the same group as before. We discover that Woody and Freddie (and Kev) remember very little from the first film and Rob and Kev talk up the film instead of Andy for once. We have a 3 way stand off between Frodo, Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker, not in a good way and discover who completes their steps target and who doesn’t. Will this be the only reference to John Craven in the top 100….Join us for number 38 on the list The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

This week, we learn all about Andy's Rancor, Rob's hatred of Luke, and whether Kev actually likes films. We work out Vadar is just a middle manager, while also being exposed to Andy's dark side. We conduct a live review of Rob's job. And we make the biggest link this century....that's right Star Wars and Eastenders!!! Join us for #40 Return of the Jedi

  • S01 E60 - #41 The Apartment

Andy takes an absolute age to describe why this week’s film is in his top 100 films, nearly sending Kevin to sleep with his journey through Cinematic history! We wonder how much tragedy you can have in a film and still have it be considered a comedy, what the moral of the story might be and how film making as a whole has changed (or hasn’t) since it came out. At number 41 on the list, it’s The Apartment.

About Long Play Video

From the publisher's feed

Tune in each week as Andy and Kev embark on a cinematic journey through their top 100 favorite movies of all times. Each week they work through their personal top 100 films of all time — a living, shifting list shaped by rewatches, arguments, nostalgia, and regret. One film per episode, asking why it mattered then, why it still matters now, and whether it truly deserves its place. Opinionated, funny, occasionally serious. For people who don’t just watch films — they live with them.
