1 Timothy 2 - The place of prayer and the place of women in the church.

Romans 4:9-17 - Circumcision was merely a sign of God's covenant with Abraham, it did not save him. What significance do signs have as regards our salvation.

1 Timothy 1 - What we are taught influences how we grow. Paul sees that some teachers in Ephesus are teaching wrong doctrine and so instructs Timothy to put a stop to it.

The bottom line is that only the gospel of Jesus Christ saves so only the gospel should be preached.

Romans 4:6-8 - How blessed do you feel?

Regardless of how blessed we may feel, if we are in Christ we are a blessed people!

1 Timothy - This letter comes with authority, the authority of Jesus.

The challenge for us as we begin our study of this book is whether we will recognise it's authority over us and seek Christ's grace to fulfil His commands.

2 Corinthians 4:16 - Are we shaken or filled with doubts ? How can we meet God without fear and find out if there is more than this life on earth.

Matthew 13:1-9 - He is the Lord of the 'arvest

Are we sowing the good news ?

Have we accepted the good news for ourselves ?

Psalm 95:1-11 - Are we part of God's harvest ?

Psalm 51 - Have we got the right fuel in our tank in order to fulfil the Great Commission? In order to care about mission we need to deeply cherish the gospel, we need to cherish the Saviour. Do we cherish the Saviour?
