Acts 20:25-38 - Pray they will be shepherds, pray they will watch over their own souls & pray they will pursue a heavenly reward.

Romans 3:1-8 - 1. The privilege of having God's word.

2. The faithfulness of God's promises is absolute.

3. The folly of trifling with God's word.

Acts 20:1-24 - 1. The believer is running a race worth finishing.

2. It is Christ who calls him to suffer.

3. The task to which he is called is a glorious one.

Isaiah 40:1-42:25 - "The Servant - little worm, bringer of justice or blind messenger".

Servants are God people and messengers. Do I share Abraham's faith ?

Romans 2:17-29 - The Jew is not saved by the law nor through circumcision. The Jew needs Christ. In the same way we will not escape God's wrath through baptism, through church attendance, through religiosity. We need Christ.

Acts 20:17-29 - It was disciplined.

It was Christ centred.

It was word focused.

It was loving.

- The Gospel is in opposition the the thinking of the world. The world refuses to accept that salvation is found through faith in Christ alone. The world rejects the call to abandon sin and be reconciled to God.

Romans 2:1-16 - The judgement of God on all ungodliness is real, it is based on truth and will be determined according to His law. Thanks be to God for the Gospel that saves us from this judgement.

Acts 19:8-20 - The word was planted, the word spread and grew in power and the word delivered from sin.

Romans 1:18-32 - We need the Gospel because the wrath of God is being revealed against all godlessness and unrighteousness.
