Sometimes, when things are going really well with this new guy you're seeing, you can overlook things or have blindspots about him because you want it to work out so badly. It's natural! We all do this to some degree. But, then we find ourselves getting hurt the same ways over and over. So, today we're taking a look at how to avoid this common frustration!

This is a special extended CouchCast! We sat down to chat with Kristin Priest about her work to create a space for Christian women to have their questions about sex and sexuality answered in a way that always points back to Jesus. We are asking her the questions you all have asked and she has great wisdom and insight to share!!

Kristin is a married Christian woman based in Northern Michigan. She created and facilitates an open space for women to ask questions and talk about sex through her Instagram account @bare.with.kristin. Her desire is to remove the shame surrounding sex in Christian circles and to encourage open conversations that lead back to God, because He is the creator of sex, and He cares!

I can't believe day 12 is here! This has been so fun hanging out with you guys everyday for the past couple of weeks... we hope you have enjoyed it too! Today, we're taking a deeper look at the question of whether or not it is wrong to have someone who was maybe a crush or an ex that you just never really got over and still kind of hold on to a little. We're discussing the ramifications that could have on your future marriage as well as some ways to get over that guy once and for all.

This is the million dollar question! It's so hard to give a specific time frame, but we try to give you some things that will frame your decision... however long it takes. What's informing your attraction? What are your requirements to be attracted to someone? How much do other people factor into this?

Dating in church is hard enough. Add on top of that the fact that one or both of you works for the church and it can seem almost impossible! We're looking at some ways to avoid the potential awkwardness of this situation.

You guys know we each pick a word of the year each year. For 2019, Kristen's word was "Hope" and Bethany's was "Purposeful". We're taking a look back over the past year and what we've learned as well as talking about what our words for 2021 are and how we picked them.
