Two brothers, Lyle and Eric Menendez, seemed to have it all growing up in a mansion in Beverly Hills, attending Ivy League schools, driving nice cars, playing sports, and enjoying anything money could buy. That seemingly perfect life was shattered when the brothers entered the den of their Beverly Hills home and murdered their own parents on the evening of August 20th, 1989. We discuss their early childhood and why they may have felt led to commit these murders which they say was because of the years of alleged abuse from their own father. The book 'The Menendez Murders' by Robert Rand was read in preparation for this case.

Tylee Ashlyn Ryan and Joshua Jaxon (also know as "J. J." Vallow) were siblings from Chandler, Arizona, who went missing in September 2019 and whose remains were found buried in shallow graves on June 9, 2020 in Rexburg, Idaho, in their stepfather, Chad Daybell's, backyard. Unfortunately, Tylee and J.J. weren't the only victims. Lori and Chad believed that the world would end and it was their responsibility to rid the world of "zombies" or "unclean spirits".  Buckle up. You're in for a wild ride. This case will be covered in two parts.

How well do you really know someone? Charlie Brandt's wife and friends thought they knew who he was. People around him thought he was a devoted husband and a good friend. Then, one morning in 2004, Michelle Jones stopped answering her phone calls, and a worried friend went to check on her and found Charlie dead in Michelle's garage. Police arrived on the scene and what they found was horrifying.  A murder-suicide at the hands of Charlie, killing his wife and niece, and then himself.  Police would soon discover after interviewing Charlie sister that he had terrible secrets from his childhood and disturbing obsessions.

The murder of Mike Williams was the first case that Leah and I ever discussed. This is truly a case that I'll never forget. In this episode, Leah and I discuss how the two most important people in Mike's life ultimately chose to murder him in order to cash in on a hefty insurance policy and be together. What's scarier is the fact that they almost got away with it. The story is filled with betrayal after betrayal. Mike deserved so much better.
