Lopez Radio

Our good pal Shawn, of the TMIpodcast and general awesomeness, rejoins the show as we leave hiatus for the first time since February. It's a fun catch-up as we talk about perspectives in divisive arguments, how travel and seeing living situations in different countries can help form perspective, how headlines and misrepresentation of facts can warp opinion perspective, denial via inconvenience, understanding where a side's argument comes from even when it's not your view, and so much more. It was a great talk and had been far too long since Shawn and I have recorded. If you want to hear more from him, you can check out back episodes of the TMIpodcast at tmipod.com.

You can follow me on social media and twitch @lopezradio. Cheers!

Lord Fagan rejoins the show to discuss AI, personal shoppers and curbside pickup, as well as his recent birthday trip to Las Vegas including his hacks for getting around and seeing Sin City.

Old radio pals and longtime friends, Lopez and Sheets sit to discuss Vince McMahon and the WWE, schedule over-saturation in sports like MMA and pro wrestling and how it almost always burns out a portion of an audience when demand for the product seems to be at its highest, and we also talk about our visit to Disney with my family.

Banshee returns to the show to catch up and talk about what we've been up to lately, Lopez recaps the culture shock of being at a small metal show, we talk about the things we've noticed about getting older, and more.

Nick ( @nickmakesnoisegaming  ) joins the podcast to jump into discussions about fatherhood, content creation from an older perspective, the pressures we see in other creators, the things that keep him creatively moving, and some of his musical background. Really fun talk and I can't wait to do it again.

Lopez and Sheets pull together the bones of their radio show and, after discussing the macabre "Timeline of Your Life" poster in the studio, get into discussion about Chuck Klosterman's book "The Nineties," our remaining impression of what that time felt like for us, and the ridiculousness of the Bud Light boycott. We then move into Sheets's travels and problems with Florida and his neighbors, life expectancy in the US, the topics that divide and how were got there. We round the show out talking about what we've been watching and how our tolerance for boring TV and entertainment has dropped.

In the second part of this Lopez Radio episode, Lopez is once again joined by Banshee, host of Banshee Radio. Their conversation continues with a discussion of video games, the rise of the react video genre on YouTube, the intersection of AI and art, and the capabilities of Spotify's AI DJ. They also have a fun time experimenting with having ChatGPT, the AI language model, write random things for them.

Join Lopez and Banshee, host of Banshee Radio, as they discuss a range of topics in this first part of a two-part episode. From the music of Stevie Wonder to the YouTube algorithm, air travel during the pandemic, Bob Fass's radio legacy, school systems and socioeconomics, to the impact of the pandemic on children's personality and relationships. Thoughtful, aging, and chill.

Krista jumps on to discuss Andrew Callaghan's new documentary "This Place Rules" that is new to HBO Max. It documents the months leading up to the January 6th riots/insurrection at the US Capitol Building in Washington, DC.  We mostly discuss our thoughts on the documentary, peppered with some of our own commentary. There are spoilers, in case you care about something like that. The movie is great and worth a watch. Thanks for tuning in and hanging out with us!
