It's the 1990 Great American Bash, and Sting is about to have his moment. From wrestling as Flash with Jim "Justice" Hellwig, to being a tag team performer, and TV champion, Sting now faces Ric Flair for the heavyweight championship. This moment, meant to be a changing of the guard, meant to be Sting's culmination, meets with resistance as soon as he walks to the mic and tries twice to thank Ric Flair. For sure this moment was the highest in Sting's career to this point, but was it a culmination? Did it elevate him to the level intended? From Flair's decision to put Sting over to the rise of the Black Scorpion, this is the beginning of a new (and short) era in World Championship Wrestling.

This week, The Doc interrupts his previously scheduled programming to talk about Roman Reigns getting an apathetic response to start his match at TLC, winning over the crowd thirty minutes later in gloriously brutal fashion, and then getting the very same crowd that started the anti-Roman movement at the Royal Rumble to change its tune and cheer his victory over Sheamus on Raw to win the World Heavyweight Championship.  What a difference 30-minutes can make!  Now, WWE must keep the momentum going; and that's the challenge...
