According to World Health Organization report in 2014, it was revealed that antimicrobial resistance is no longer a prediction for the future; it is happening right now, across the world and is putting at risk the ability to treat common infections in community and hospitals. Addressing this little known issue to common folk, is Dr Normi Mohd Yahaya, Senior Lecturer and researcher at Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at UPM and also Loreal-Unesco For Women In Science winner for 2015.
