89 - We intentionally do things to spend more time with Jesus. 

As it doesn’t come naturally, which it doesn’t for most of us.  

And with any relationship the more you spend time with that person the closer you grow.  

As followers of Christ, we want to grow closer to Him and we are here to encourage you to do the same.  

Here we share some ways we spend more time with Jesus throughout our day.  

Note we aren’t perfect with this but things we aim to do.

For the majority of our life, we didn’t have a relationship with Jesus…  

for a few reasons, like we didn’t really know we could have one,  

& we felt the Bible was for pastors not everyday people like us.  

Also, we never really knew where to start with reading the Bible, and felt like there was a bunch of things we had to do every day in order to be good with God… 

so we just never considered it much until last year when Jesus opened our eyes to the truth.👀  

He wants us a relationship with us & you. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy but have a willing heart.  

God is always there doing His part and it is up to us to do ours.  

Not always easy or sometimes we don’t feel like it, that’s we make it a priority.  

Basically, we just decided to do it and let God’s grace help us to continue to do it.  

If you struggle with making this a priority in your life pray to God asking for His help with it. Ask Him to help you make it a priority in your life. 

And He will.

87 - We receive emails from women struggling with making fitness a healthy habit in their lives.  

They've tried so many things.   

Well, we are here to help you not only make exercise a habit but also being in God's Word a daily habit.  

We personally wanted to find another way to help us put God's Word in our hearts, souls and minds.  

Because for so many years we didn’t think the spiritual stuff was important.  

But we only ended up feeling further away from God.  

What has helped us do this was a nudge from the Holy Spirit telling us to use our workout time as a tool to hear God's Word.  

This is what has helped us grow closer to God this past year.   

All glory to Him!  

God has changed us so much with our walk back with Him. 

It's amazing when you listen to your Helper, the Holy Spirit.  

We are still new to reading the Bible but that doesn't stop us from doing it.  

Our solution to help you move your body to make it a habit: Jesus, hearing God's Word and fun strength-based workouts.  

Remember friends, it is about a relationship with Jesus.  

And fitness has been one way that has helped us grow that relationship.   

We want the same for you.

84 - When 2 or more pray God gives you what you are praying for...

not so fast.  This was a scripture we heard used when we were caught up in LOA/manifesting when people would use scripture to support it.  

Look closer at this verse and the context.

Open your Bibles to Matthew 18.  Read the whole chapter.

This 2 or more being a witness goes back to the OT in Deuteronomy 19:15. Then come back to verse 19 - 20 in Matthew 18.  Do you see?

This is about Jesus helping us bring lost sheep back, to discipline, to help believers that are struggling with sin.  Yes, prayer is important. Yes, praying with others and for others is important.  Believers are called to lead the lost back to Jesus so He can restore them.  Look how this chapter starts and ends.  What is it about? 

Coming into an agreement under the truth of God's word, to humble ourselves, to forgive one another, to see we all sin and need to help one another when we are caught in sin...

to bring the lost sheep back to Jesus.

 It's not to point fingers or gossip.  But have a heart like Jesus, and truly care for that person and get more people to witness.  All while knowing Jesus is there to help you because this is not easy.
