Cy: Wrth i'r gwynt oer chwythu drwy Gaerdydd, roedd pob un stryd wedi'i hailenwi â'r sêr cyfarwydd o genhinen Bedr.
En: As the cold wind blew through Caerdydd, every street had been renamed with the familiar stars of the daffodil.

Cy: Roedd Gŵyl Ddewi Sant yn agosáu, ac ym Mhencadlys Hedlu Canol Caerdydd, roedd Gareth mewn pryder mawr.
En: Gŵyl Ddewi Sant was approaching, and in Pencadlys Hedlu Canol Caerdydd, Gareth was in great distress.

Cy: Dyma ysgolhaig ifanc a thyner, â'i frown yn crynhoi wrth aros y tu ôl i'r cownter.
En: He was a young and gentle scholar, his brow furrowed as he waited behind the counter.

Cy: "Help," meddai Gareth wrtho'i hun cyn dod at y ddesg.
En: "Help," Gareth said to himself before coming to the desk.

Cy: "Help.
En: "Help."

Cy: "Roedd Arwen yn sefyll yno, gyda nodiadau lluosog ar y bwrdd.
En: Arwen was standing there, with numerous notes on the board.

Cy: Yn swyddog o nifer o flynyddoedd, roedd hi wedi gweld llawer.
En: A seasoned officer, she had seen a lot.

Cy: Roedd ei phen wedi'i phlygu ychydig, golwg sobr ar ei hwyneb.
En: Her head was slightly bowed, a sober look on her face.

Cy: "Rydych chi eto, Gareth?
En: "Is it you again, Gareth?"

Cy: " meddai Arwen, heb godi ei llygaid ar unwaith.
En: Arwen said, not raising her eyes immediately.

Cy: "Beth sydd o'i le y tro hwn?
En: "What's wrong this time?"

Cy: ""Dim newyddion o Dylan ers dyddiau," esboniodd Gareth yn bryderus.
En: "No news from Dylan for days," Gareth explained anxiously.

Cy: "Dwi'n poeni difrifol, Arwen.
En: "I'm seriously worried, Arwen."

Cy: "Roedd Arwen yn gwybod am Dylan.
En: Arwen knew about Dylan.

Cy: Roedd e'n ffrind annwyl i Gareth.
En: He was a dear friend to Gareth.

Cy: Fodd bynnag, cofiodd am siom diweddar dros alwad ffug.
En: However, she recalled a recent disappointment over a false alarm.

Cy: Roedd ei thafod yn betrusgar.
En: Her tongue was hesitant.
