Jay and Mike are lucky enough to be joined by Tyler Wilkin from the Collector's Quest podcast to get into Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom for the NES.
Also, apologies in advance for Mike's voice.. it's a mess.
Thank you for tuning in. Tell your friends about the show. If you don't have any friends, then tell your co-workers about it. And if they don't want to hear about it or you don't have a job, then post it on social media. And if you don't have social media, that might explain why you don't have any friends or co-workers to tell. Something to think about..
Come join us with our special guest..Robby! (@8bitsupremacy on Instagram). Robby was so kind to as to join Jay and Mike to discuss a number of topics such as retro game collecting, his opinions on the trends of the hobby, his appearance in "Rarity: Retro Game Collecting in the Modern Era", and, most importantly, BAD DUDES.
Listen in and find out our thoughts on one of the most notorious games released for the NES.
Thanks for listening!
Do you remember that song "A Nightmare on My Street" by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince? Man, I loved that song. I remember their label got in trouble for copyright stuff and the video got pulled. That's wack.
Jay and Mike are back and this timethey're joined by a special guest: Matty Ice from the Matty Ice and Marky Mark Podcast. Listen in as all three give their opinion on Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, as well as Taco Bell, and God knows what else.
Also, if the show sounds a little different it may be because we are recording in our revamped studio AND the show was livestreamed on Facebook Live / Twitch.
So get comfortable and spend a little time with the LJN crew and friends. Thanks for listening!
Hey.. it's been a while. I know we said we were going out to get cigarettes a couple of months ago.. and we didn't come back. Listen, all we can say is that we're very sorry and that it won't happen again.
That being said, we ARE back! This episode was recorded in June and we know it's been too long since we got it out. We almost scrapped it but decided against it because we actually thought it was pretty good. We will be getting back to more regular releases immediately.
This episode goes over the OG of JRPGs: Dragon Warrior for the Nintendo Entertainment System. We talk about it's release, the slog that can be the gameplay, and where it lives in the pantheon within the history of JRPGs.
Thank you again for listening and sticking with us. We promise not to hurt you again.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.. and who better to trample all over that line than Jay and Mike?
We're back to discuss another certified banger: Lords of Thunder for Sega CD and TurboDuo. Make sure you wear your fireproof facemask, because this game could melt your face off.
So tune in and see what we thought about what many people think is the game with the greatest soundtrack in video game history.
Thank you for listening!
Well, we did it.. double digits.. the big One-Zero. Ten episodes of the Lost Joystick Network, and what better way to celebrate than to bring on our friend John Young AKA RetroGameEnthusiast on Instagram. John has been around the collecting scene for a long time and was kind enough to sit down with Jay and Mike to discuss how he got started in collecting and what he's doing today to further his collecting goals.
Thanks for tuning in.. Enjoy!
Jay and Mike are joined by special guest Kyle Wojtylko from Retro Replayed in Flint, Michigan.. and this time it's another certified banger: Super Mario Sunshine on Nintendo Gamecube. Tune in to find out what Nintendo Power thought of their own game! Oh, and also what the LJN gang thought, too.
Episode eight will go down in infamy as the cosmic shift of Lost Joystick Network. Our good friend Jerry has decided to leave the show (on the best of terms), so we welcome Jay as the new co-host. This episode does not circle around a single game and is really more of a "Getting to Know Your New Co-Host" discussion. We talk about Jay's history with gaming and discuss some of his favorites.
