En: The spring flowers colored the land with myriad hues.

Cy: Ond er y brydferthwch, roedd problem yn trigo.
En: But despite the beauty, a problem was lurking.

Cy: Roedd Gareth a Carys ar daith cerdded trwy'r parc genedlaethol.
En: Gareth and Carys were on a hike through the national park.

Cy: Roedd Gareth wedi colli'r fyddylod gwerthfawr a berthynai i'w mam-gu.
En: Gareth had lost the precious locket that belonged to his grandmother.

Cy: Ei chlustog aur bach, gyda'i lun tu mewn, wedi'i ddwyn ymaith gan amseroedd y bryniau a gydaol.
En: Her little golden pendant, with her picture inside, had been whisked away by the sands of time in the hills.

Cy: “Oh, Gareth!
En: "Oh, Gareth!"

Cy: ” meddai Carys, ei gwyneb wedi'i gymylu â phryder.
En: said Carys, her face clouded with concern.

Cy: “Rhaid i ni ei ddarganfod!
En: "We must find it!"

Cy: ”Roedd Gareth yn crafu ei ben, yn ceisio cofio ble gallai fod.
En: Gareth scratched his head, trying to remember where it might be.

Cy: "Fe all fod unrhywle," meddai ef mewn ton anobeithiol.
En: "It could be anywhere," he said in a tone of despair.

Cy: "A dw i'n mynd i edrych yn ôl," dywedodd Carys yn ddi-baid.
En: "And I'm going to look back," said Carys persistently.

Cy: "Mae'n rhaid bod yna rywle ar ein ffordd.
En: "It must be somewhere along our path."

Cy: "Roedden nhw'n cerdded yn ôl, dilyn eu camau olaf trwy'r llwybrau gwyrddion rhwng creigiau mwsogl.
En: They walked back, retracing their final steps through the green paths between mossy rocks.

Cy: Roedd pen y mynyddoedd yn dwyn cymylau llawn glaw.
En: The mountain peaks were bearing rain-heavy clouds.

Cy: Roedd yn amser ei chael cyn i'r storm redeg ar eu holau.
En: It was time to find it before the storm chased after them.

Cy: "Ymlaen," meddai hi, wrth weld y bryn serth.
En: "Onward," she said, spotting the steep hill.

Cy: "Rhaid i ni wirio yma.
En: "We must check here."

Cy: "Ond Gareth yr oedd yn amheuaethus.
En: But Gareth was doubtful.

Cy: Roedd y wynt yn cryfhau, a'r cymylau yn casglu.
En: The wind was strengthening, and the clouds were gathering.

Cy: "Mae'n beryglus!
En: "It's dangerous!"

Cy: " Rhoddodd iasol i'w leferydd.
En: He added a chilling note to his speech.

Cy: “Dim ond ychydig funudau,” mynodd Carys, ymddiried yn ei chyneddf.
En: "Just a few minutes," insisted Carys, trusting her instincts.

Cy: Roedden nhw'n dringo'n ofalus, gan arogli'r awel oer.
En: They climbed carefully, smelling the cold breeze.

Cy: Ar y brig, ar bluen rwbel menyfal, gwelodd Carys fflachiad o aur.
En: At the top, on a slope of loose debris, Carys saw a flash of gold.

Cy: “Dyna fe!
En: "There it is!"

Cy: ” gwaeddodd hi, gan godi'r fyddylod i'r golau tywyll cyn iddi ddechrau glawio'n drwm.
En: she shouted, lifting the locket into the dim light just before it began to rain heavily.

Cy: Gyda'r locket yn ddiogel yn ei llaw, rhuthroddant yn ôl i lawr y llwybr.
En: With the locket safe in her hand, they rushed back down the path.

Cy: Wrth iddynt gyrraedd y lloches, roedd glaw trwm yn tocio ar y ddaear.
En: As they reached shelter, heavy rain pelted the ground.

Cy: Roedd eu hwyliau yn uwch o lawer.
En: Their spirits were much higher.

Cy: “Iawn, dw i'n dysgu fy ngwers,” meddai Gareth.
En: "Okay, I've learned my lesson," said Gareth.

Cy: Roedd o'n nodi pwysigrwydd cyfrifoldeb nawr.
En: He acknowledged the importance of responsibility now.

Cy: Roedd Carys yn gwybod ei bod wedi dysgu i ymddiried yn ei greddfau hefyd.
En: Carys knew she had learned to trust her instincts as well.

Cy: Roedd y tirlun, er ei bryfder, wedi dysgu gwersi gwerthfawr.
En: The landscape, despite its majesty, had taught valuable lessons.

Cy: Fel hyn, roedd y locket yn mynd adref, wedi'i adfeddiannu o ddwylo'r bryniau, gyda Gareth a Carys yn tanlinellu ei bwysigrwydd.
En: Like this, the locket was heading home, reclaimed from the hills, with Gareth and Carys underscoring its importance.

Cy: Er fod cwmwl yn Lochdu y tir, roedd y teulu yn aros llachar yn eu calonnau.
En: Even though a cloud darkened the land, the family remained bright in their hearts.
