TRIGGER WARNING: In this episode, we cover sexual assault, relationship abuse, domestic violence.
Hello, Loudmouthers! April is National Sexual Assault Awareness month, so I have my friend Chris Stibbs on. Chris is the Director of Philanthropic Engagement over at Newhouse KC, Kansas City's FIRST ever domestic violence shelter! We talk about what abuse is, the different forms it comes in, how Newhouse is breaking the cycle of abuse, how you can help, and more. This topic is not easy to listen to or talk about, but we need to do it to break the cycle.
If you are a survivor, please know I am here for you and you are so loved.

Hello, Loudmouthers! Today, I really raw dogged this episode and went into it with no script, just vibes. It started out with just wanting to update you on my life but turned into talking about white supremacy and how America sucks. I wanted to be open and honest about how I am trying to better myself and focus on minorities and people of color's thoughts and opinions before my own. My goal for this podcast was, and always has been, to uplift voices in my community, to talk about hard issues, to talk about life and it doesn't seem right for me to do that without recognizing my privileges. So, here is my open and honest chat about everything right now.

More specifically, we are talking about crying at work and the embarrassment that comes with it. I talk about how many people cry at work, why it's completely normal, how to handle it, and my experiences of crying at work. Make sure you snap a selfie the next time you cry at work and send it to me!! Let's laugh about it together :)

Let us talk about the cycle of life, feeling down, feeling unaccomplished, and everything in between. Sounds uplifting, right? But for real, life gets ya down sometimes and that's OKAY! Sometimes we just need to feel our feelings to come back out on top.
