Lounge Lizards Podcast

We fell right into their trap! This week on Lounge Lizards, Ashlynn and Kate talk about recent commercial success, Deadpool vs. Wolverine. As we attempt to untangle the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we also try to piece together exactly what about Deadpool appeals to it's millennial audience. Comic book bros, don't come for us!!

Ashlynn and Kate share their own superhero personas, and try to figure out if they could be a superhero duo fighting the Russian scientists who created them. We also chat about the iconic soundtrack, the plethora of cameos in the film, and whether or not we are Ryan Reynolds fans in this household…

I saaaaaaidddddd BRR! It's cold in here! There must be Lounge Lizards in the atmosphere! In this episode, we're taking it back to the 00's classic cheerleader flick, Bring It On. Shake your pom poms and practice your back handspring because we want YOU to join the Lounge Lizards squad next school year!

This week, we're chatting about high school rivalries, Kate's middle school flute competition, and Ashlynn's tearaway pants making a splash on the basketball court. The special menu item of the week is Season 3 of The Bear! After the long-awaited release of the third season of this kitchen dramedy, Ashlynn & Kate sit down to dish (pun intended) their thoughts on what did and didn't happen this season.

This episode is filled with restaurant stories, Kate's bad transitions, incorrect idioms, and a new segment!! Introducing: What's the Street Sayin? We debate if Jeremy Allen White is the Rat King of Rat Boy Summer, and muse on what type of restaurant we'd like to open. Take a shot each time you hear us use a restaurant code word — unless you're driving or working…

Rev up your engines! On this patriotic 4th of July, nothing screams America more than NASCAR, Wonderbread, and Will Ferrell — so we had to take a trip back in time to watch Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. We talk boy humor, how July 4th is the greatest holiday bar none, Ashlynn's GTA-style driving around New York City, and Kate derails the episode eighteen times!

Who would be your NASCAR sponsor? Can you top the dynamic duo catchphrase, "Shake and Bake?" Are you praying to the baby or grownup Jesus?

Ahhhh, the pulsing throes of puberty! On this episode of Lounge Lizards, join Ashlynn and Kate as we relive the pain and cringe of our preteen years after watching Inside Out 2.

We're talking about which Pixar films make our allergies act up, club nights that end up with a bathroom panic attack, and how Ashlynn's extra emotion at the console table has buck teeth…Kate's obviously is covered in glitter.
