It's Day 7 of Podmas 2021, and I am discussing things to consider when planning for a wedding. I took a walk down memory lane and recalled what did and did not work for me when I was planning my own wedding years ago.

I decided to take a page from the Youtube playbook and do something similar to Vlogmas, where content creators upload content every day in December up until Christmas Day. I'll call it Podmas because this is a podcast. Since I didn't start until December 6th, Day 6 is the first day of Podmas 2021. I recently started listening to the audiobook, Think Like a Breadwinner. The author encourages women to learn how to sustain themselves. She uses her story as a cautionary tale to women to not put their heads in the sand when it comes to their finances. She said that as a child she was fed a narrative that she would be taken care of when she got married. It got me thinking about my own ideas about money that were formed in childhood. They were shaped by a totally different narrative.

Legacy and purpose have been on my mind lately. Here are my thoughts on finding your purpose. Spoiler alert - you may have more than one.

For a long time I considered myself to be a quiet storm. In my definition, that's a person who is full of potential, talent and great things, but who moves quietly/is low-key. That used to be something that I was proud of. However, as time goes by, I see the merit in being loud and proud about what it is that you are capable of.
