David concludes his series on Jesus and the Followers of the Way. We end with the most difficult Way of all: the Cross. One of the most wonderful and devastating aspects of Jesus is his humanity. When he calls us to take up our crosses and follow him, he knows what kind of sacrifice that really is. Ours is a God who understands the fear, pain, and desperation of mortality because he keenly felt them himself during that last week Jerusalem.Special guest James Kayler (at about 4:45)!

David returns with his series on the early Christians as the "Followers of the Way." When it seems like our country and our world are being defined by the divisions and the tensions we see on the news each day, we remember that reconcilliation is a hugely important focus in Jesus's ministry. After all, we are called above all else to love the Lord our God and to love our neighbors as well.

This week, our own David Kayler explores the implications of Matthew's origin story. It's the story of how Jesus shares the table with a tax collector and his friends, the blood-traitors and profiteers of the Jewish people. In doing so, Jesus demostrates radical new ways to minister to one another.

Once again we return to the roots of Love Chapel Hill and for the month of May we meet in our original location: right beside the Old Well in the heart of UNC's campus. This week, Jason Tuggle kicks off our time outside by drawing us back to an older well. Jesus shatters a handfull of taboos to share the living water with a Samaritan woman.

Fittingly, Matt's last message before his sabbatical is on the last verses in Matthew. Christ has died and Christ has risen. But Easter isn't over yet. Before ascending into heaven, Jesus lays out his Great Comission. Being a believer means being a disciple, and bring a disciple means being a missionary.

Lent is coming to a close and we now begin Holy week. We have fasted, repented, and prepared for the reality of the Cross on Easter. This series, we have been awakened to our need for grace. Now we look to the event that kicks off Holy Week and hastened Jesus' ministery towards the climax of the Cross.

The Spring "& Forum" was hosted by the NC Study Center at UNC, and featured Political Science Professor, Dr. Christopher Clark. Dr. Clark shares his story and journey of faith, some social science research in the areas of Faith & Race, and spends about an hour in conversations through a time of Q&A.
