Talk to me, Goose!
This week on Love Fool we talk to our friend Laura McGhee about her life in comedy and her career as a pilot. Working in two traditionally male dominated fields has not been easy but it has definitely been worthwhile.
Join us for another chat with one of our fave humans about life, self love, and living on the other side of supposed to.
This week on Love Fool, we talk to Dr. Marni Hill Foderaro. Each week we speak with women who have chosen to live their lives on the other side of 'supposed to' and Marni tells us how she was finally able to build that bridge for herself.
She speaks with us about the long term affects of narcissistic abuse, starting over, and living her best life as an author in the Caribbean. We were so fortunate to get to learn from her about moving on and moving up while you heal your life.
XO,
Laurel and Amie
This week on Love Fool we talk to Ananda Shakti.
Flowing through the many variations of her life, Ananda takes us through her early days as the lead singer of The B Girls - an all girl punk band who toured with Blondie and The Clash - all the way through to her present day as a yogi and intuitive dancer. Her current band, Love Power, is an interactive experience that makes the audience part of the performance.
Speaking to us from India, she graces us with stories about how continuing to choose the next joyful thing at each phase in life has brought her peace.
XO,
Laurel and Amie
Hello, beautiful friends!
On this weeks episode of Love Fool, Laurel and Amie speak to Dr. Regina Lark about how she became an 'accidental PhD' and the science behind skillful organization.
Dr. Lark takes us on a journey from barely graduating high school, to finding her sobriety; from coming out during her marriage (and subsequent divorce) all the way through her now lengthy career as an academic.
Hang out with us as we speak with her about earning her PhD in US women's history, moving into the role of speaker and educator, and becoming a professional organizer who teaches others how to organize their brains and then to organize their lives.
And because we can never be too serious, join Amie and Laurel at the end for a fun game of "stupid US laws made specifically for women".
XO
Love Fool Podcast believes in the power of women's storytelling. We're here to lift up our friends (that's you babe!) and cheer each other on.
This week we speak to Jen Day to talk about non traditional gender roles in the home and the importance of having a partner who acts *gasp* like a partner. She speaks to us about being the main breadwinner for her family while her husband held down the fort as a stay at home dad, supporting each other while having a child in the hospital long term, and we see how much Jen really knows about romcom's (not much).
This week on Love Fool Podcast, we speak to Dr. Katie Nall!
As we focus this season on self love and our professional lives, Dr. Nall talks to us about being a woman in STEM, the process of getting her doctorate, and demonstrates how she uses EFT tapping to help students become better test takers (or in this case, how to get Laurel to chill the fuck out after a stressful morning).
Join us for another episode as we cheer women on who show us what life looks like on the other side of 'supposed to'.
XO,
Laurel and Amie
SEASON 2 - EPISODE 1
Welcome to a new season of Love Fool Podcast! A women's interview series about self love and women who choose to live their lives on the other side of 'supposed to'.
Last season we talked about self love and relationships, this season we're getting into self love and your professional life!
On this episode, we interview Dr. Mary Runnells. She drastically changed careers at 40, leaving Public Relations and going back to school to get her doctorate in special education. We speak to her a few short weeks after her retirement, as she reflects back upon her working life, tells us the advice she'd give her younger self, and play a fun (and goofy) trivia game.
XO,
Laurel and Amie
On the season 1 finale of Love Fool, Amie and Laurel recount their favorite bits and talk about how their friends have helped them to find their wild.
"There's so much wisdom locked up in the stories that women don't tell" - Elaine Welteroth
Come hang out with your best friends for a new episode of Love Fool Podcast as we talk about gaslighting and play quite possibly one of the most ridiculous games ever.
Gaslighting is the cornerstone of any toxic relationship - romantic, friendship, professional or otherwise. The goal of the gaslighter is to avoid taking responsibility for their actions by making their victims doubt their own reality.
On this episode, we dive into the world of gaslighting the way only the ladies of Love Fool Podcast can - a lot of honesty, humor and profanity. We talk to one of our best friends, Leysan, as she discusses dating as an immigrant in a new country and normalizing listening to your inner voice when your (now ex) husband tells you it's normal to have strippers sleep over regularly (and eventually move in). As always we wrap up the episode in a big, beautiful bow with what is now one of the most fun games we've ever played: trying not to laugh while reading poorly written erotica out loud.
On this episode of Love Fool, we talk to our awe-inspiring friend Kyla. Whether you know her from watching her on the highest rated season of the bachelor, seeing her win Miss Utah, or her killer work out classes you can't help but see what a beautiful soul she is, inside and out.
In the most dramatic episode of Love Fool yet (not really, she's the sweetest), Kyla walks us through her journey to living her best damn life. And since she's days away from no longer being a bachelorette herself, we play a short and sweet bachelorette party game with her to kick off the festivities.
