What’s really hanging in your closet—and holding you back? In this episode of Love From the Inside Out, Susan explores why our clothes carry far more than fabric. They hold our identities, old stories, and even the way we see ourselves.
From pajamas and caftans to pulled-together confidence, you’ll hear:
Along the way, Susan shares personal stories, pop culture reflections (hello, Carrie Bradshaw), and a heartfelt tribute to her late friend Andrea Evans, who embodied what it means to love from the inside out.
✨ If your closet feels more like a collection of old stories than a celebration of your true self, this episode will inspire you to shift—from self-criticism to self-love, from clutter to clarity, from holding on to finally letting go.

I used to think finding “the one” would change everything. So I made finding him my full-time job. I tried every dating app, followed all the rules, and even created an “ideal partner” list I read aloud every day. But here’s the spoiler: the apps didn’t fix my heart. What actually changed everything was the inner work — clearer boundaries, daily self-dates, a few simple message scripts, and one boundary that shifted everything.
In this episode, I tell the messy, honest story of my dating years (from eHarmony to Match and everything in between), the family pressures that shaped my thinking, and the moment I stopped settling.
You’ll hear:
• How I wrote and practiced a values-based “ideal partner” list.
• The exact boundary I set — and the words I used.
• Practical message scripts you can say when you need consistency and respect.
• Why dating yourself is the quiet rebellion that helps you show up as the person you actually want to be.
This episode is part memoir, part toolkit, including my real stories with concrete takeaways you can use whether you’re new to dating or ready to shift patterns.
I also share a book that helped me practice showing up with confidence: Why Men Love Bitches by Sherry Argov — grab it here.

Fired—and Finally Free
How Losing My Job Sparked a Midlife Self‑Love & Personal Growth Reset
What happens when the moment that’s supposed to break you becomes the doorway to everything real? In this opening episode, I take you back to the day I was fired for refusing to compromise my values in a male‑dominated sports world—and how that “worst day” cracked me open, not apart. It was my #MeToo before it had a name… and the beginning of rebuilding my life from the inside out.
If you’re a woman in midlife who’s done “all the right things” and still feels off—burned out, boxed in, or just hungry for more—this is your invitation inward. I’ll share how I went from chasing external validation to cultivating true self‑love, boundaries, and purpose. You’ll hear the seven pillars that guide this show (and my life), and why loving yourself isn’t fluff, it’s a strategy for living.
In this episode, we talk about:

Love From the Inside Out is a podcast about self-love, confidence, and personal growth. Each week, host Susan Kricun shares real stories, mindset shifts, and tools for transformation—helping women release old patterns, heal from within, and live more intentionally. Through soulful conversations and practical insights, you’ll discover what it really means to feel confident in your own skin and build a life rooted in truth, not fear.
Hi! I’m Susan Kricun. Welcome to Love From the Inside Out, a podcast for women who are open-minded, self-aware, and driven but tired of pretending they’ve got it all figured out, and quietly wondering to themselves if something’s missing.
I’m a coach and a writer, a first-time wife at 52, and a bonus mom to two really amazing college-aged kids.
But life didn’t always look like this. I grew up in a home full of chaos, navigating emotional turbulence and inherited patterns that had me chasing love and success outside myself.
I spent so many years of my life stuffing my feelings, navigating extreme digestive disorders, and searching for “the one” as if finding someone to love me would solve all my problems.
Boy, was I wrong. Now, I don’t have all the answers but I do know this for sure:
The stories we tell ourselves shape our consciousness and ultimately our lives. And you will only have the capacity to feel the love that you are willing to give to yourself.
This show is for you if you’re tired of chasing something outside yourself and you’re ready to live, think, feel, move, create, and connect from a place that’s rooted in truth not fear, not performing or pleasing, and definitely not someone else’s expectations.
Each week, I’ll share lessons from my own lived experiences like the time standing up for my values in a male-dominated sports world cost me my job, and became the catalyst for everything I’m building today.
You’ll also hear from inspiring guests, experts, and real women—just like you.
Together, we’ll explore what it really means to love from the inside out— through the seven lenses of how we live, think, nourish, move, create, connect, and heal.
It’s soulful. It’s practical. A little bit playful. And always real.
So grab your favorite cup of whatever you love, settle in, and let’s begin this journey together, from the inside out.
