Raghu Markus is the Executive Director of the Love Serve Remember Foundation, co-founder of the Be Here Now Network, host of Ram Dass: Here and Now as well as his own Mindrolling podcast. He is a devotee and direct disciple of Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaji), whom Raghu lived with in India for 18 solid months alongside Ram Dass and Krishna Das in the early 1970's. Raghu is the chief storyteller within the Love Serve Remember satsang, and spends most of his time joyfully recounting deep and meaningful stories about his friend and mentor Ram Dass, so Jaymee took time to ask about Raghu's early life in Montreal for a change. Raghu shared what it was like having his first transcendent experience as a teenager in a jazz club watching John Coltrane play "My Favorite Things" right in front of him, how he and his friends used to sneak off to watch films that were banned by his teachers, and how his early psychedelic experimentation led straight to his first job as a program director of CKGM-FM in Montreal, where he would fatefully encounter Ram Dass as if it were all intricately designed. This episode is full of first hand accounts of what it was like to be in the direct care and company of Neem Karoli Baba, a miracle being who the majority of humans have only experienced through Ram Dass's many lectures, his service work, and his smile... all of which Raghu confirms was Maharaji pouring through his dedicated student. You'll also hear the story of the time Ram Dass felt like an imposter, and the extraordinary pep talk Maharaji gave him on the spot, as well as the time Maharaji taught Raghu, a nice jewish boy from Canada, how to "meditate like Christ". August 16, 2022 Episode 12- Jon Vasu Seskevich
Jon "Vasu" Seskevich has been a trailblazing nurse clinician and primary disciple of Ram Dass's for 50 years. After two years of obsessively reading and re-reading Be Here Now in the early 70's while hitchhiking and practicing kundalini yoga, Jon endured a difficult LSD experience and took a shot in the dark writing Ram Dass a letter to ask his advice in processing the bad trip. Much to Jon's surprise, not only did Ram Dass write him back, but his return letter set in motion a lifelong teacher/student relationship between the two that directly led to Jon creating his own revolutionary career and curriculum in compassionate nursing care at Duke University between 1990-2019. Jon is a breathtakingly genuine and humble sweetheart of a man, a record keeper of the highest order, so in love with the world and earnestly devoted to cultivating path of the expansive Heart. For the Love Serve Remember heads and hardcores, this episode is an absolute gold mine - chalked full of mind-blowing first hand accounts of Ram Dass sewing the seeds of Love in the West, as well as the full circle experience Jon had being Ram Dass's nurse on one of his last pilgrimages to India in 2004.

July 12, 2022 Episode 10 - Samuel Bercholz - Founder, Shambhala Publications
Samuel Bercholz is the Founder and Editor In Chief of the legendary Shambhala Publications, original publisher of an entire library of spiritual classics by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Pema Chödron, Shunryu Suzuki, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche (to name a few), and was an early student of Trungpa Rinpoche's. Samuel is the genuine article mover and shaker of the early Buddhist scene in the US, and what George Martin was for The Beatles, Samuel has been for the Dharma flourishing in the West (though you'll hear he considers himself more of a Forest Gump). You'll hear the unbelievable stories of Samuel as an 18 year old co-hosting a weekly San Francisco based radio show with legendary Zen philosopher Alan Watts called "Adventures In Consciousness", and the last epic hang Chögyam Trungpa had with Alan Watts on the day Alan died. Samuel then blows Jaymee's mind by describing Chogyam Trungpa needing to perform an exorcism for Alan Watts a month later, claiming Alan "doesn't know he is dead" and "is stuck" in the bardo. You'll hear about Samuel's friendship with legendary clandestine chemist Owsley Stanley in San Francisco, who synthesized a drug that left Samuel high for two weeks straight. As if this isn't enough, Samuel has flatlined twice in his life, and in his most recent book "A Guided Tour Of Hell" (as well as on this podcast), Samuel shares the gory details of his experience, what he describes as feeling like an eternity in a hell realm, followed by the surprising pain of returning to his body ("leaving is easy; coming back is incredibly painful"). Robert Ryan is one of the most sought after tattoo artist's in the world, and an icon and pioneer of spiritually themed tattoo's inspired by the 19th century Kalighat tradition of Calcutta, India. After growing up on the east coast, largely inspired by hip-hop, punk rock, beat poetry and graffiiti culture, Robert had a life altering encounter with a Hare Krishna devotee who rerouted the direction of his life toward spiritual principles and practices. Robert has since become synonymous with living a highly intentional monastic lifestyle, and is constantly in one form of spiritual practice or another throughout the day. Even while tattooing for hours he manages to chant and stay focused. Robert remains endlessly inspired to create some of the most visually stunning sacred imagery of modern times. He is the author of two books "Inborn Absolute" and "Deity", and was featured on the Vice show Tattoo Age. Robert is co-owner of Electric Tattoo in Asbury Park, New Jersey, where he tattoo's 5 days a week.

June 28, 2022 Episode 7 - Tulku Orgyen P'huntsok Rinpoche
Tulku Orgyen Rinpoche is a Vajra Master within the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, and Jaymee's "root guru". Born in the Hidden Land of Pemaköd, a sacred place well known to Himalayan Buddhists, Tulku Rinpoche was recognized as a reincarnate shortly after his birth by one of the most notable Tibetan Buddhist masters of the 20th century, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, and began formal training as a toddler to fulfill the role of his incarnation. Tulku Rinpoche later founded the Odiyana Institute in Santa Barbara, a center where people can come to learn more about Tibetan Buddhist teachings. Jaymee wanted to use this opportunity to ask questions he had never heard asked of enlightened masters, such as "Have you ever been in love?", "what's the most miraculous thing you've ever seen?" and "what're your thoughts on depression, anxiety and suicide?" Christopher Noxon is an author, artist and contributing journalist for The New Yorker, Details, The New York Times Magazine, and Salon. He has authored three books, one of which "Good Trouble: Lessons from the Civil Rights Playbook" recently made headlines after it was placed on a banned book list in Virginia Beach as a prop of conservative political theatre.
