I am sure that all of us are committed to prayer. God hears our prayers, and God will answer our prayers according to His perfect will and according to his time. And we're going to look at a scripture where there is a significant man, a leader of a synagogue. His daughter is at the point of death. He goes and he beseeches Messiah that he might come and lay hands upon her, that she would recover, and he's interrupted.

God is always faithful. Sometimes that faithfulness will manifest itself in judgment, because God is holy and righteous and good God, because of his character, will move against that which is evil. I'm I made mention last night that the number 12 is a kingdom number, and I was asked, Do you have proof for that? And I do, for example, if you look at the new Jerusalem, we see that the New Jerusalem has 12 gates, has 12 foundations. When we look at the walls around the New Jerusalem, they are 144 cubics, 12 times 12.

Our God is an active God. The Bible says that he who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. So God is always at work, and he wants to work in your life and my life. The writer of Lamentations wants us to know the harsh anger of the Lord that he takes disobedience very seriously, and there is a high price to pay for those who turn away from God and embrace falsehood, those who act in such a way, whether we're talking about 2000 years ago or more or today, God is the same, and his punishment and judgment and anger will be displayed against Those who behave in such a way.

Our God is majestic. He is wonderful, and he is always faithful. And one of the things we encounter, especially in those four gospels, is that frequently he looks at someone who is suffering, someone who is in need, and the scripture says repeatedly that he was moved with compassion, and that compassion caused him to do a miracle.

If you are going to be a spiritual leader in a local congregation or in any way at all, your family is going to be watched, and that's Biblically sound, meaning that God wants people who are in leadership to have a family that demonstrates a submissiveness to the Word of God, and when children, for example, are rebellious and they do not do what the Word of God commands, that reflects poorly upon The father, and that fact may indeed disqualify him from being a leader in a local congregation or in some spiritual position that is biblical, and we're going to be looking at a man today that although he was the spiritual leader of Israel, he certainly did not have godly children. In fact, in my opinion, it is shocking how his sons behaved.
