  • Imposter Syndrome Unveiled: Overcoming Self-Doubt and Embracing Empowerment

Summary: In this enlightening episode, host Emma Cartmel engages in candid discussions with Laura Capel-Abra from No More Ifs or Buts, diving deep into the prevalent issue of imposter syndrome. With personal anecdotes and expert insights, they explore the various dimensions of imposter syndrome and how it holds individuals back. Laura, a seasoned coach, identifies five distinct imposter types and provides actionable strategies to conquer self-doubt. Listeners gain valuable advice on shifting mindsets, challenging limiting beliefs, and taking confident steps towards their goals. Whether it's reframing language, understanding emotional literacy, or seeking support, this episode empowers listeners to break free from imposter feelings and embrace their full potential.

Standout Quote: "When we can see imposter syndrome, that feeling of I don't quite belong here or I'm not quite skilled enough or I'm not quite whatever it might be for that scenario, if we can identify it as a feeling, it's got more of a chance of coming and going rather than it being a label."

    Takeaways:
     • Identify Your Imposter Type: Reflect on the five imposter types mentioned in the episode (perfectionist, natural genius, individualist, superhero, expert) and determine which one resonates with you the most.
     • Shift Your Mindset: Embrace a growth mindset and recognize that imposter feelings are temporary and can be overcome with conscious effort and self-awareness.
     • Challenge Limiting Beliefs: Whenever imposter feelings arise, question the validity of the thoughts and beliefs that fuel those feelings. Replace them with positive affirmations and evidence of your capabilities.
     • Take Action: Instead of waiting for perfection or excessive knowledge, take small steps toward your goals. Action builds confidence and diminishes imposter feelings.
     • Seek Support: Don't hesitate to seek advice, mentorship, or coaching from individuals who can provide guidance and perspective on overcoming imposter syndrome.

Lara Morgan is a British entrepreneur with a track record of delivering exceptional accelerated growth. Her investment strategy in wellbeing products primarily is pinned to improving life’s journey.

Lara’s passion for fragrance and functionality in natural aromatherapy products led her to develop, design and produce Scentered, an aromatherapy based Wellbeing Ritual which provides a scent-based solution for mindful transitions through our daily journeys.  She knew first-hand from challenging times at Pacific Direct that therapy-grade essential oils enhance mindset and wellbeing. Reset - teaches the customer how to connect scents with desired mindsets, empowering them to direct their thoughts and emotions to live happier lives.   The Scentered balms and candles are unique in their portability and daily use convenience. Lara believes this neurological link between scent and habit has additional opportunity to help transform the way people set goals and achieve their desired outcomes.

Standout Quote: "I've got to where I am because I had a planned intent, a determination to achieve something basically to prove to my father that girls can do it too. And it was like a two-fingered, 'Actually, don't tell me to buy a typewriter and get a job.' So that was quite a motivator."

  • Uncorking the World: You’re Supposed To Explore Wine

Summary: In this episode of Love Life Live Well, host Emma Cartmell sits down with Patryk Kapelinski, head sommelier at Carden Park, to delve into the world of wine. They discuss Patryk’s love for life, the role of a sommelier, the importance of exercise for well-being, and his journey into the wine industry. Patryk shares his passion for Italian wines, his thoughts on ordering wine from a sommelier, tips for tasting wine, and his views on emerging wine regions like Eastern Europe. Get ready to discover new flavours, embrace the wine experience, and challenge your wine preferences.

    About Carden Park:
The vineyard at Carden Park is well known as Cheshire’s largest commercial vineyard. Its story dates back to 1988 when the majority of vines were planted. In 2008 the‚ 4,000 vines were reinstated at the estate and much care was taken to grow them to their former glory.

After lots of hard work and much nurturing, the three acre vineyard is able to produce up to 6,000 bottles of Carden Park Estate Reserve sparkling wine each year from the two grape varieties grown, Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir.

Each year, in October or early November, the grapes are harvested by our estates team. Working with HalfPenny Green winemakers of South Staffordshire, the grapes are then put through a fermentation process to produce the bottles of Carden Park Estate Reserve.

If you would like to try a glass of Carden Park Estate Reserve sparkling wine, it is available throughout the hotel restaurants and bars. Alternatively, bottles are available to purchase and take home as a souvenir.

In 2021, our fine dining restaurant opened its doors, inheriting the name ‘The Vines’, inspired by our vineyard. As well as the unforgettable cuisine prepared by our award-winning chefs, you will have the opportunity to sample an incredible selection of wines, including our Carden Estate Reserve, during your dining experience at The Vines.

Standout Quote: "We sell the experience. It's the story behind the wine that we know. We can allow you to travel to that place without even moving from a table."

     • Embrace native grape varieties when trying wines from these regions.
