Ok #watchfam, this is one we've been wanting to bring to you for A LONG time now. We were finally able to get schedules squared away and sit down with our friend Jared Payne from Buying On Time. We've actually purchased multiple pieces from Jared that remain in our collection today. If you're into vintage watches and you're not following @buyingontime on Instagram, well, you're seriously missing out!

Jared isn't one of those fly-by-night "vintage watch dealers" that pop up all the time on social media flipping "rare" Rolexes, but a genuine lover of all things vintage, including watches. He specializes in vintage American pieces from classic brands like Bulova, Benrus, Wittnauer, Elgin, Hamilton, and others. Plus he's just a genuinely good guy!

Took a bit of a break again but the dynamic duo are back once again. In this episode we discuss the effects of Covid-19 on the watch industry, Seiko's new special edition Prospex drivers hitting the pricing stratosphere, and whether or not female collectors have yet to be represented equally alongside their male brethren in the watch world.

Ranchracer also had a chance to get to the track again so that always means he'll be in a relatively good mood, but on the flip side he has to get down on his hands and knees and BEG PG's forgiveness for blowing Valentine's Day this year. Trust me, you DON'T want to miss this.

This week we had the privilege of speaking with Steve and Josh Roemer from the Swiss Watch Company. SWC was actually formed more than 10 years ago and got their start producing watches for the US Military. Over the years Steve has also done design and production consulting for other well known brands, which followed a career in Switzerland with little company called the Swatch Group. Josh is his Dad's partner in crime and handles all of the marketing and social media stuff for the brand.

After dealing with all kinds of crazy stuff over the last three months, and some honest soul searching about the show and whether or not to continue, the good news is that we're definitely pressing on!

We're re-engergized and super excited to continue to deliver our own unique view of the watch collecting world. In today's comeback episode we talk about various ways to fund the show, diving into some topics that are sometimes difficult to discuss like social media, advertising, etc. At the end of the day our intent is to share with you, our loyal listeners, where we intend to take the show and it's all good. Oops! Someone in Omega's design department might be hanging from the tree outside their Biel/Bienne headquarters this week.
