When you're in job search mode it can be difficult to be grateful for what you already have because you're in the constant pursuit of your next position. It turns out that focusing on what we have now and being grateful for it can keep us motivated and realistic throughout our search. Being this is the first episode of the new year, I've included a quote to set ourselves on a path of gratitude.
Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity...it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." — Melody Beattie
In this episode, you'll discover how to be grateful for your career. I include specific questions to expand on your challenges, losses and wins to go deeper with your answers. In addition, I help you give yourself credit for what you've accomplished already, and finally, I share my own experience getting demoted in a retail job, and how that shifted my perspective years later.
