Don't snub HBO's latest Sunday night drama with the notion that it is a typical horror/supernatural show. Though the plot is engaging, the spectacle enormous, and the acting on point, weaving monster fiction with the appalling truths of American history and making us choose which is scarier is truly an impressive feat.
