Our God is a God that wants to reward his people. And we saw last week that when we take God's instructions, his words, his precepts, his statutes, his laws, His commandments, and we apply them to our life in faith, there's going to be great benefit for them. But our God is a righteous God, he is a holy God, a God that is just in the fullest sense.

We are called to have a generous spirit. And that means to give generously to others, those who are in need those who are having problems, those who simply are in a time in their life where they're struggling, that we're supposed to step in and bless them.

The passage that we're going to study today involves a demon. And the question that I was asked this week through an email was do I believe in the reality of demons? And how did I answer that question? I simply said, Does the Bible speak of demons? And the answer is, obviously it does. Therefore, if the Bible teaches something, as a believer, and this is true for every follower of yours, sure, we are obligated to accept this book and its content as the truth given to us by God.

Are you praying effectively? What does that mean? Are you praying as the word of God teaches a disciple to pray? The fact of the matter is that most believers are not. And why is that? Well, most people pray this way. I have a problem. And I want God to solve it. I have a need. And I want God to meet that need, or I have a desire and a want. And I want God to give it.

I do not know why. But when we talk about Shabbat, there seems to be so much resistance today from those who claim that they are believers in the Messiah of Israel. And what we need to see is that when we study Shabbat, and this is true, whether we do so, from the Old Covenant, or the New Covenant, when we see how especially Messiah, how he taught on Shabbat, how he healed on Shabbat, how he emphasize in the Scripture, the truth of Shabbat relating to the kingdom of God, we need to have respect for the Shabbat.

We see so frequently in the Scripture, this concept of redemption. And I've made mentioned to you several times that redemption has an implication to it, it brings about restoration. Can we understand that differently? Yes, we can.

Last week, we began a study of Leviticus chapter 25. And we saw that one of the primary things in this chapter is the Year of Jubilee, which is called in Hebrew, ha yeoville. And we see concerning this year of Jubilee rules that we are to follow. Now, let's be clear about something the laws of Shmita and why do I bring Shmita.

Are you spiritual? Do you have the perspective for life that God would want you to have? How the Spirit of God leads us to think and not just think, but also behave? If you do, then you are going to love the law of God. Another word for law is simply the word instruction. And instruction is a good thing because it allows us to achieve what God has commanded us to do.

You should think about eternity. Now I can say that a different way, you should think about your death. Unless you are a believer, and you are alive at the time of the blessed hope, and that is the rapture, you are going to die, and you're going to enter into eternity, then what happens? Now this special message is because many people have written to me with some confusion, they want to know about death, and what happens to a person when they die.

Now we all have a set of priorities for life. And my question to you as we begin this study is this. Where does prayer appear? And that list of your priorities, it ought to be at the top of the list. What the Word of God reveals to us is this. We can do nothing that's pleasing to God, in our own strength.
