The book of Micah contains similar threads of warning of impending judgement, and messages of hope that we have seen in previous "Minor Prophets" thus far. The greatest message of hope contained within Micah is the need and the promise of a savior. The Messiah, who would be born in Bethlehem.

Paul outlines the qualifications for elders in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 along with similar instructions to Titus in chapter 1:5-9 of that epistle. These qualifications are in place so that the work of an elder can properly be accomplished. Tonight we'll look at what that work is and how these qualifications aid in that work.
