As we enter a new year and new season it is important that we continue to submit ourselves to the divine will of God. Seeking Him in every step we take and trusting that He knows what is best for us. Holding onto faith in all that God has promised as we surrender our hopes, dreams, worries or fears to the father is what will establish us as we begin again.
Our latter will be greater and God is calling us higher! Keep trusting that He is working everything out for your good.

Sometimes we need to take a break and find balance in our life. This can be a change that is needed overall or based on a specific circumstance. Either way, it is important to give ourselves grace in these moments and listen to ourselves. It doesn't mean you're a weak person, it means that instead of giving effort and attention in too many other areas in your life you should make some time for YOU. Be intentional about rest, doing things that spark joy, and setting expectations that make sense. We can only control our corner of the world and it can be overwhelming if we try to be everything for everyone all the time. You can't fill from an empty cup.
How many times have we learned about something and it opened up a whole new world for us? Something resonated with what we know to be true. When we are honest with ourselves about our own journey we can have compassion for one another's walk with Christ. Liberating ourselves through God's love and His word empowers others to find the freedom they are searching for too.
There is hope and love in Jesus Christ! What we see happening around us and everything weighing on our hearts we can take to the Lord. We may not always be understood but God knows us intimately and He loves us and sent His son to die on the cross for us. John 3:16
Let us reflect on all that God has done in our life and how we have hope because Jesus died on the cross for us as we go through this Holy Week leading up to Easter. How can we share the good news and gospel of Christ with those who may be hurting? My prayer is that we can extend grace to those who are lost and do not know Him as we do. As people are struggling in their relationship with God or unsure about their faith, we should pray for them and ask God how we can demonstrate love and guidance to them before jumping to judgement and condemnation. Remembering to treat them how we would want to be treated as a basic principle for our lives. Matthew 7:1-14
Finding love through forgiveness with ourselves and one another can be challenging. I pray that as we continue to seek to find new ways to demonstrate the love of God that we can learn how to speak life and manifest the love of God in our lives and those around us in order to see the change we want in the world. Speak life and believe we can have whatever we pray for! Mark 11:22-26
There are many ways we can work to be like Christ. One of them is putting the interests of others above our own and asking God for direction on how we can be more compassionate and united in spirit. This is my prayer as we mark one year of the pandemic and I hope you join me in seeking God in humbling ourselves to spread his love and light to others.
How does the fruit of the spirit show up in our life? Do we hold others accountable to this same standard? As Christians, do we expect those elected in public office to demonstrate the fruit of the spirit too? In what ways can we demonstrate more love by demonstrating these characteristics?
Galatians 5: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.
We can rejoice knowing that God loves us unconditionally! I hope you are encouraged and reminded to not let anyone or anything deceive you to think otherwise. Walk in faith and confidence each day choosing Jesus as we have been chosen and are loved immensely.
Romans 8: 37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We have seen our communities in America and around the world fight against hate and a lack of understanding or compassion toward one another. This reminds me that as Christians we also are called to fight in the spirit and need spiritual strength to endure this battle. In order to demonstrate love to one another we must remember that Christ dwells in our hearts through faith which is rooted and grounded in love. Through the love of Christ we have the fullness of God and by this his power is at work within us.
Welcome to the LovEmpowered podcast! I am excited you are joining me on this journey as a place where we can come together to discover new ways to demonstrate the love of God through scripture with one another and ourselves. John 15:12
