When I was talking about Wayne Liquorman’s FSA, I meant to say “false sense of authorship.” 💚
There are three uses for effort. They are noticing, noticing, and stopping: Noticing what you are feeling, noticing what you are thinking, and stopping to go in with willingness. The effort we speak of is not used to accomplish anything in the world. This effort is used to allow clarity to be revealed, to allow what obscured the mind’s sanity to be removed. When you use effort in this way, the world’s job becomes reflecting this clarity back to you.

Ego is an opportunist. It is designed to appear real in your mind. It is built on an algorithm, sending you the thoughts that you are most likely to believe and to take seriously. We are prior to ego, always an invitation to lightheartedness, gentle laughter, and joy, no matter how serious ego tells you anything is. This we that is prior to ego is also you, always you. It is also anyone who annoys you, always anyone who oppresses you. The list goes on to include every descriptor. No one can be excluded.

The cry that seems to come from your body for food really emanates from your mind. Everything experienced as physical has its origins in the mind. Everything experienced as emotional has its origins in the mind. You all share one mind. The mind tells the body how to feel, and the body obeys. The body is useful in two ways. How it feels can tell you when you are allowing the false to run your experience. The body is also useful as an instrument of communication for Spirit. It is very simple. One use feels good, and the other use feels bad. How the body gets used–by Spirit or ego–is always up to you.

Whatever the problem seems to be, it’s already been solved. Ego will speak to you of many different problems each day. Things get shaken up in your life so they can come back down under Spirit’s control. So whether you are looking at what you call your life or what you call the lives of others, remember this. When it looks as though things have become disordered or unfortunate in some way, the being experiencing the disorder is always being given the opportunity to hand control over to Spirit. This is why you need not be distressed over what appears to be disorder. You can be open. You can be compassionate. You can be helpful. But you need not be distressed.

There can seem to be a space between two entities in a relationship. What occupies that space? When you don’t feel good regarding someone or something in particular, ego’s judgments are occupying the seeming space between what you see as you and whatever person or thing seems to have that charge for you. In other words, you see yourself as different from whatever seems to be “over there” setting you off. The judgments that seem to fill the space between you and that thing or you and that person seem to be different from both you and the thing you seem to be looking at.
