1. Research your body and keep track of your blood sugars. How it reacts to your medicine and the foods that you're eating.
Keeping a 30 day journal is what Gary's father used to do to track his levels.

Tune in every week for a new episode. In today's episode, we have the incredible Gary Fobes joining us. Gary's professional career included playing for the Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors, and Brooklyn Nets. He played for the Saigon Heat four years ago and is currently retired. In our conversation, Gary will share his journey as a healthy and active diabetic basketball player. We'll also be answering questions from our listeners.
Speaking of which, we have some questions from Valentino, a 12-year-old type one diabetic. Kevin’s tips:
Diabetes is a condition that affects the whole human being: 1) mentally, 2) physically, 3) spiritually, 4) socially, etc. In his experience, thriving with Diabetes requires being intentional about educating, caring and continuously improving one’s health. Working at it requires a decisive commitment at some point. Make it your priority. Learn as you go. Ask for help. Make necessary changes. Work on one thing at a time, if necessary.
I hope these tips are helpful
