Second Sunday of Easter. We look into what the resurrection of Jesus means for us today. Instead of living in fear, locked in our rooms of safety, Jesus calls/commands us to live lives of faithfulness and spreading the Good News! We asked the popular question "What Would Jesus Do?" but we also asked the more present question, "What is Jesus Doing?" God is at work in the world in many different ways and most fully through God's people, the Church!

Matthew 28:1-10. In Matthew's Gospel of the empty tomb, Mary and Mary went to go see. They went to check it out and to see if they heard Jesus correctly from previous encounters. They didn't bring spices to anoint a dead body. They went to experience their risen Lord! May we all hear the words of the Jesus and respond with action and worship! And may we not only experience this ourselves but GO and tell others! May we go to our neighbors and friends and say, "Come and See!" Let's make disciples!

We finished our shortened series on the 7 Deadly Sins. This week we used the lectionary epistle as Paul describes the difference between living according to the flesh and living by God's Spirit. Romans 8:6-11
