Holy Meatballs! We're back!

First time filmmakers in the digital era are an interesting breed. Many of them aren't trained through filmschool but rather have learned from youtube or trial and error. They often aren't afraid to make something, learn from it, and move on. Some might look at these features and say, 'They made trash' or 'Why not spend your time making something good?' (trust me, I've heard this one many times) but I see these films and feel inspired.

Sean Ashley is one of these people who has inspired me.

He created a no budget film, Homicide McLeod, that was not only fun to watch, it was picked up by Troma Entertainment and has built a cult following of fans. His persistence and DIY spirit proves that "one mans trash is another mans treasure" truly applies to film making.

On this episode, Sean and I talk about making our first features, getting something done and putting it out there, the challenges of finishing a project, comic book convention experiences, and much more!
