Today's guest is one of the driving forces behind the Pure Techno parties in Belgium. Mendoza started 11 years ago, only with a pair of decks and a mixer, as it should be. This experience made him the artist he is at now: technically high skilled and playing a variety of good techno tunes. He likes to play detroit grooves with some tribal, old skool bleeps and new tracks. Just with one goal: make you dance until the last beat.

Oh, and I was told he makes very good fish soup.

One of the things I like the most about techno is that there are always new artists who are absorbing techno’s legacy and carrying the torch into tomorrow. In this mix I used songs from artists who are in the scene for years and artists who are part of a select cut of young artists.

Orogeno is a Portugese DJ and producer who is bringing an innovating touch to the techno scene. In 2016 he released the Descolamos EP on Propellant Music with 2 original tracks. The moment I heard the EP I had to use the tracks in my sets as well. The EP also features remixes from Echologist and Relapso. For this episode Orogeno made an exclusive mix with a selection of his favourite new tracks of the moment.

This week our guest is Slovenian DJ Veztax. He is known for his uplifting mixes and artist production which stands for techno in its most precious form.

Veztax is active since the early 90s, when he joined the then bursting Slovenian rave scene. He spend part of the 90’s on the Amsterdam techno scene, where he introduced artists Umek and Valentino Kanzyani to the Dutch audience.

Veztax plays all over Europe, performs at small and medium- sized venues and even major events where he does warming up stadium concerts of Depeche Mode and Placebo.

Besides organizing his own parties he continues to support the scene and its young talents with his own independent labels Glorio Music and Vezotonik Records.
