As a kid, I was told that I had a damaged optic nerve. That's all the doctors knew. I didn't find out until I had an eye exam for getting a guide dog, at age 50, that I have Optic Nerve HHypoplasis, ONH. Getting this diagnosis didn't phase me until I just now learned about some of the other things that can go with it.
