校長：どういう風に。

先生：休憩時間でも、お友達の輪に入らないですし感情表現というか、喜怒哀楽を全然おもてに出さないんです。

校長：でも、いろいろな子供がいるでしょう。あなたも新人の先生じゃあるまいし、いままでの経験があるでしょう。

先生：授業中も答えがわかっているくせに、当てても何も言いません。そのくせに、テストの点数はいつもクラスで一番です。心を開かせようと、色々努力しているんですが・・・一向に。

校長：そうですか。来月から家庭訪問が始まるので、その辺りを親御さんに婉曲に聞いてみてください。それからまた話しましょう。

先生：わかりました。

Sensei: Kō iu iikata wa yokunai desu ga, ano ko wa kodomo no kuse ni myō ni samete iru kanji ga suru n desu.

Kouchou: Dō iu fū ni.

Sensei: Kyūkei jikan demo, o-tomodachi no wa ni hairanai desu shi kanjō hyōgen to iu ka, kidoairaku o zenzen omote ni dasanai n desu.

Kouchou: Demo, iroiro na kodomo ga iru deshō. Anata mo shinjin no sensei ja arumai shi, ima made no keiken ga aru deshō.

Sensei: Jugyōchū mo kotae ga wakatte iru kuse ni, atete mo nani mo iimasen. Sono kuse ni, tesuto no tensū wa itsumo kurasu de ichiban desu. Kokoro o hirakaseyō to, iroiro doryoku shite iru n desu ga... ikkō ni.

Kouchou: Sō desu ka. Raigetsu kara katei hōmon ga hajimaru no de, sono atari o o-yago-san ni enkyoku ni kiite mite kudasai. Sore kara mata hanashimashō.

Teacher: I don't mean to sound rude, but I feel like that student is a bit jaded despite being a child.

Principal: In what way?

Teacher: Even during breaks, he won't join his friends and he doesn't express any emotion. Rather, he doesn't show his joys, anger, sorrows or happniness.

Principal: But there are different kinds of children. You're not a new teacher. You have plenty of experience to learn from, don't you?

Teacher: During class, he won't say anything even though he knows the answer. And yet he gets the highest test scores in his class. I am really trying hard to make him open up his heart...But there is no change.

Principal: Is that so. Well, next month, the teachers will start visiting students' homes to talk to parents. So try and ask the student's parents about this. Let's talk again after that.

Teacher: Sure, no problem.
