In this listener request episode, Heather is joined by Julie Ortega from the Women Behind the Veil Podcast to discuss a serial killer from Odessa, Texas. Our listener, Sal from Texas has requested this case and I'm glad that we now know about this sicko! Michael Eugene Sharp was classified as a murderer who kidnapped and raped his victims first. He had at least 2 confirmed victims but suspected of more. At the age of 28, he killed a mother (31-year-old Brenda Kay Broadway) and her 8-year-old daughter (Christy Elms). He kidnapped Brenda's 14-year-old daughter as well, but she was able to escape; which led to his arrest just 5 days later. Michael was executed by lethal injection in Texas on November 19, 1997 (at 43 years old) and 14-year-old Selena Elms attended his execution.
