Since first meeting Tori during her performance of YES NIX, Tori has continued to open my ears to the different ways in which you can perceive, make and think about sound. In making her performances, she transports people into fantasy worlds employing intricate costumes, made up language, her incredibly trained and dynamic voice, as well as other theatrical devices.
In this episode, Tori shares with us everything from rough vocal sketches, to performance documentation, as well as an in-depth explanation of recent performances at Transart in Bonzano Italy last September as well as her solo show at Project Space 1646 in the Hague, in the Netherlands. Passionate about idea of moving sound and creating architecture and sculpture with sound, Tori explains the importance these tools in her practice and why we want to look upwards and outwards.
